HGT is hands down, one of the best tour operators we have ever used. When we began planning our trip to Nepal, we worked directly with Pramesh and Charlie to create our dream itinerary. They customized our entire trip from start to finish. Ultimately, we settled on a mix of site seeing in and around Kathmandu to bookend our Everest Base Camp hike. Our mountain guide Subach was awesome. He has a wealth of knowledge of the region and excellent at setting our pace. When during our hike, it became apparent that the weather was going to be a problem to complete it, Subash was able to coordinate with Pramesh and Anouk to arrange a helicopter tour of Everest and the surrounding valley and return to Kathmandu early. Within two hours, HGT had redesigned our trip to account for the extra days we had since we would not be hiking. We set up several more days of site seeing in Kathmandu, in addition to securing hotels and guides in Chitwan and Pokhara. Loxman was our driver for the entire trip and he was amazing. The roads are congested and chaotic in Kathmandu and driving through the mountains is tough. We never once felt car sick, he is always prompt, so friendly, and he was so interesting to chat with. We can't say enough great things about HGT - they helped us plan an epic trip, secured all of our accommodations and internal travel, and when things did not go as planned on the mountain, were able to improvise and within hours, we had another amazing itinerary which allowed us to see two additional regions of Nepal. Whether you're spending time in the mountains or site seeing in different regions, HGT can plan it and make recommendations and adjustments as needed, and help put together an amazing trip. We cannot recommend them enough and will certainly be using them in the future.

I did the Everest Base Camp Short trek with an outstanding guide, Subash Moktan. The company and Subash were very attentive to my needs. In fact, Subash was like a mother hen -always monitoring how I felt and whether I needed anything. About the trek: it is hard, beautiful and well-worth it.
