The Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek, one of the grandest treks in the world, is an unparalleled opportunity to trek in the Himalayas where Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay set off on their epic journey in 1953. The trip also includes acclimatization and a cultural trek into the scenic Sherpa heartland of the Khumbu Valley. Another remarkable feature of the trip is the opportunity to stay at the finest local luxury lodges and experience the typical Himalayan lifestyle. Enjoy the magnificent scenery of the Himalayan range near the Khumbu region with four of the world’s six tallest peaks of Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Makalu, and Cho Oyu rising above everything in view.
Besides trekking, take a glimpse into the life of world famous climbers, the Sherpas. The trek further provides an immense opportunity to survey around the world heritage site of the Sagarmatha National Park which hosts a variety of Himalayan flora and fauna and to explore the highest Buddhist monasteries in the world.
Our Everest Base Camp Luxury Lodge Trek begins with a sightseeing tour of the historical and cultural monuments in Kathmandu – the temples, shrines, gompas, stupas, bazaars, streets, and monuments. The next day, head for an interesting mountain flight to Hillary Airport at Lukla, also featured in the National Geographic. Further, it will be a steep ascent to Namche Bazaar, the capital of the Sherpas, where we are greeted by spectacular mountain vistas. We continue our trek following the trail to a famous vantage point, Kala Patthar, which offers a marvelous 360-degree panorama of the Himalayas. After achieving our target of Everest Base Camp, we trek back down to Lukla for a return flight to Kathmandu.
Himalayan Glacier’s other similar treks in the Everest region include Everest Base Camp Short Trek – 14 Days
Why just take a tour to the Everest Base Camp in the comfort of luxury lodges and the finest teahouses? We have yet another option of getting you out from the base camp by flying back on a helicopter if you don’t want to walk back all the way to Lukla while returning. Even though our Everest Base Camp Luxury trek does not include the flying back option, you may request for the same if you don’t mind spending a few bucks extra. Enjoy this unparalleled opportunity and experience your conquest in grace and extravagance!

We have always opted for comfort during our travels. This year we wanted to do the EBC trek, but our friends mocked us saying that we would never make it. We even doubted ourselves a few times before we left for our trek. But Himalayan Glacier made sure to maintain our comfort even in the Himalayas. We experienced the mountains in its purest forms without compromising anything, and there is nothing more I could ask for. Thanks, HG team for making this experience worthwhile.
Show moreOur Everest Base Camp Luxury Lodge trek was excellent. We are much obliged to HG team for orchestrating and arranging all the horde switches that sprung up during the last days of the trip. It has been an exceptionally fulfilling experience for us all. We anticipate a lot more encounters with the HGT group in the near future.
Show moreWarmest thank you to the team at HG for making our EBC trip a memorable one! We wouldn't have made it without the help, expertise and support of our guide, Homnath, our assistant guide, Dhawa, and our two super porters, Buddha and Suman! I can't recommend this agency and our team more. From the minute we landed to the time we left, the entire team made sure our every need and request was cared for. They understood our pace and level, and planned the days accordingly. At the end of the trip, we became more than just a group that made it to EBC together; we became friends. Don't hesitate to choose Himalayan Glacier for your next trip. You will not regret it!
Thanks again.
