Deu Bahadur Ghale

This is my first trek in Nepal. I went for Manaslu trek because of its beaty and variety and I was not disepointed. Amazing views and surroundings! Everything was very well described on Himalayan Glaciers homepage. Fantastic trek! My guide Mr Deu Bahadun Ghale was outstanding! Always very helpful and I really felt that my wellbeing was his first priority at all time. He had always something to tell me about our surroundings, very nice.I couldn’t have had a better guide, would love to go on any trek with him again.I also want to mention Mr Dilman Gahle my porter. He performed very well, always very polite and very nice.I would not hesitat to use Himalayan Glacier again!

We have recently returned from the Annapurna Circle trek in Nepal. The Himalayan Glacier team were outstanding at all points of the trip, and contributed greatly to a wonderful experience. Naba and his office staff were very responsive throughout, both before we arrived as well as during our time there, and made sure that the disruptions and complications that are to be expected in Nepal had a minimal effect on our trip. We were particularly impressed with the flexibility of Naba and our guide Deu, for example when our flight from Jomsom to Pokhara was cancelled, a jeep appeared immediately to ensure we made it to Pokhara that same day, and we were instead booked flights from Pokhara to Kathmandu to save us from another day of bouncing inside a vehicle. The trek itself was spectacular, we had perfect weather and enjoyed the challenge of working our way across the Thorung La and steeply down to Muktinath. Our Guide Deu and porter Kumar were excellent at their jobs, and were always interesting and pleasant company. We felt in very good hands throughout the trek (and very clean hands - Deu wouldn't stop distributing hand sanitizer throughout, and indeed we all remained sickness-free). While it's not terribly difficult to travel independently in Nepal, using the services of Himalayan Glacier allowed us to fully enjoy the experience. Nepal is a special place, interesting culture, wonderful mountain scenery, and kind & friendly people. We hope to return soon!
