Airport To Downtown in Tanzania

Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam is limited to car rental, taxi services and a few buses that ply along the Julius K. Nyerere Road. The airport bus stop located down the road from the main terminal is the closest station. Travelers can book personal shuttle through local companies or area providers for custom pick-ups and drop-offs. An option to book a shared ride van through local shuttle companies can take visitors to deluxe downtown hotels like Ramada Resort or the Serena Hotel. There are also private vans that carry up to a dozen passengers at once to expansive locales either at Bongoyo Island, Marine Nature Reserve or Oyster Bay. Reserving a private sedan from local executive providers to take you to memorable locations from the airport is an intimate experience. Getting downtown from the airport can also be done on private SUVs, taxi cabs, stretched limousines, chartered buses or through local personal drivers.

Taxis are usually found outside the arrival hall in Kilimanjaro International Airport that tourists can hire for their transfer to Moshi, Namanga, Nairobi, Marangu, Machame, Meserani Snake Park, Serengeti or any other destination of their choice. Other options to take a ride from the airport to downtown are premium sedans, private SUVs, luxury cars, minivans, and buses. Taxi services at Kilimanjaro airport are fast and frequent, directly from the terminal area to any city ground destination. The airport’s shuttle departs directly from the doors of the terminal building and rides through the direct route to the city center. This is a great option for leisure travelers with a minimal budget.

Taking a ride from Abeid Amani Karume International Airport in Zanzibar to destinations such are Nungwi, Stone Town, Paje, Jambiani, Bwejuu, Michamvi, Kizimkazi, Kiwengwa, Matemwe, Pwani, Mchangani, Kendwa etc. is possible through private SUVs, taxi cabs, premium sedans, vans, private coaches, minivans, buses, and airport shuttle services.
