All meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) are included during your stay in Bhutan. A variety of meals are available in most hotels the most popular being Indian, Chinese, and the more common continental food. Non-vegetarian dishes are generally available in most parts of Bhutan - pork, beef, chicken, and fish. The best advice is to ask the hotel and restaurant to recommend what is fresh and in season.
Hotels in Bhutan are approved and classified by the government as grade A, B and C. These government approved hotels are equivalent to 3-4 star hotels elsewhere. Based on availability at the time booking, A grade hotels will be provided in this trip. We use Tashi Namgay Resort or similar in Paro and Hotel Namgay Heritage or similar in Thimphu. All accommodations are on a twin-shared basis. Single supplement will be served on request and will cost USD 170.

My wife and I travelled to Bhutan for 5 days in the end of March. From booking to final departure Himalayan glacier had our back! Their staff went above and beyond to ensure we had time of our life. Vidya helped us in booking the flights from Delhi to Bhutan and back, something not mentioned in their package so I am assuming they don't do that normally. But I was just not able to book the flights online using Drukair's website and Vidya came to rescue! The driver and guide in Bhutan went above and beyond in the same way. They even took us to hospital when we had dreaded food poisoning and we were okay in one evening! They were there for us all the time and we felt as if we were travelling with family friends and not tour operators! The hotels all had amazing views and we felt they were hand picked for us!Nice weather, good time to visit (as Vidya informed us), pre-trip information was useful and helped us a lot.
Thanks Himalayan Glacier for a wonderful trip!
The name of the trip describes it, it was a short trip but get to know and do all the basics of Bhutan, great guide and driver and the way it was planned let me use the time and not wasting it since is was a short stay, I would recommend doing this trip if you are short of time but I would definitely recommend taking more time in this beautiful country.
Show moreI had an amazing time in Bhutan. Everything was so well organized, the guide and the driver made it extremely easy and comfortable throughout our stay. They were also very flexible about our schedule, they didn't mind staying late with us. The car they used was new and quite spacious, made the journey everywhere very comfortable. Both hotels we stayed in were very clean and comfortable, especially the one in Thimpu. All in all, 5 stars service, I was very impressed.
