The Everest Base Camp trek, the world's most awe inspiring and iconic mountain trail trek takes us to the yards of world famous Sherpas, the culture of colorful prayer flags and Buddhism, the quaint Namche Bazzar, the Sagarmatha National Park, the mightiest view point-Kala Patthar, Everest Base Camp itself and close to four of the world's six tallest peaks Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Makalu, and Cho-Oyu - those rise above everything else. It is well accepted that the Everest Base Camp trek is the grandest walk in the land of the Himalayas.
Everest Base Camp trek begins with an inspiring mountain flight to Tenzing-Hillary Airport at Lukla. Starting the trek up through the Sagarmatha National Park all the way through the colorful landscapes, we take steep ascent to Namche Bazaar, the capital of Sherpas, where we will be greeted by spectacular mountain vistas. We enjoy the Sherpa village, its culture and monasteries, the mountaineers and wild life museums. During one rest day which also aid in acclimatization as the altitude begins to "rise". While passing through the verdant alpine forest and wildlife, raging glacial rivers and waterfalls, stony trails, mountains, and Buddhist monasteries, we get closer day by day to Everest along with other mighty mountains. We continue to follow the trail to a famous vantage point, Kala Patthar, where a marvelous 360-degree panorama awaits. After achieving our target of Everest Base Camp, we trek back down to Lukla and take a return flight to Kathmandu.

Himalayan Glacier provides attached rooms as much as possible, however tea houses or lodges of some places only have shared washing and toilet facilities. If we are a solo traveler, we will share a room with someone else of same sex of our group. If we prefer a single room, we may indicate our preference and get single rooms on request by paying single supplement USD 250. There are several places that do not allow single accommodations in the Everest Region. On paying single supplement, we get single room in Kathmandu but it is possible only up to Namche Bazzar during the trek. Above Namchhe Bazzar single accommodation is not always feasible. However, Himalayan Glacier will try its best to arrange single rooms in all places if possible.

Autumn (mid Sept to mid Dec) and Spring (March to May) are the best seasons for the Everest Base Camp Trek. The weather is sunny and warm with outstanding views. But the nights are cold and can fall to freezing level in higher elevations. Winter (Dec, Jan, Feb) is also good for Everest Base Camp Trek, only issue is cold (obviously). Trekking in Summer or Monsoon(June, July) will be affected by rain but Summer trek could be a boon for a keen botanist. The trekking routes are crowded during Spring and Autumn. But during Monsoon and Winter the routes are not packed and visitors could enjoy rather best of nature.
