Embark on an easy trek in the Everest region and enjoy panoramic views of Everest and other mighty Himalayas

True to its name, the Everest View Trek is a short hike in Nepal that is related to the magnificent Everest panorama. We begin our 12-day trip in Kathmandu with visits to UNESCO World Heritage Site before heading to the most coveted region of the country. On our trek, we also reach the Tengboche Gumba which is situated at 3,867m (12,687ft) and is the largest monastery in the Khumbu region of Nepal. From here, the panoramic views of the Himalayas of Nepal including Tawache, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku and Everest are ours to admire.
The short Everest View Trek features a wide range of panoramic mountain scenery of Nepal combined with unique cultural encounters with the Sherpa people and their rich culture which is closely tied to Buddhism. This trek is ideal for anyone who wishes to enjoy the surreal beauty of the Nepalese Himalayas and Everest in particular while also enjoying an easy trek.

overlay
  • Trek along the easiest trails in  the Khumbu region
  • Marvel at the panoramic views of Everest and the neighboring Himalayas
  • Hike up to  Tengboche Gumba at 3,867 meters
  • Appreciate the unique and rich cultures of the world-famous Sherpas

Mount kilimanjaro I just completed the Mount kilimanjaro climb organized by Himalayan Glacier. I was supported by a fantastic guide Fromance. He ensured my safety and took me on several additional walks at the various huts where we stayed. We had fun and very interesting adventures. The rest of the team included a fantastic chef, Yona, who created spectacular dishes including a celebratory cake for us after finishing the climb. I would highly recommend anyone considering this climb to go with Himalayan Glacier

The trip of a lifetime! This was such an incredible experience! It is so difficult to describe just how majestic and breathtaking the Himalayas really are. Every single day of the trek I found myself humbled by the scale and beauty of the mountains. Himalayan Glacier absolutely outdid themselves in terms of providing us with a trek that was organised, safe, fun, and most importantly, successful in making it up to Everest Base Camp! Our guide Homnath was friendly and knowledgeable, and our porter Bhakta was such a gentle and kind man. They both helped make our trip so easy and special. I'm so so pleased that I booked this trek through this company. I think it's really important to support the local community by using a guide and Himalayan Glacier provides a comprehensive end-to-end package that gave me total peace of mind through the entire trip (from landing in Kathmandu to leaving to go back to London).

3 Passes Trek with EBC Had an amazing time trekking with Himalayan Glacier and especially my guide Ashish. The service was excellent and far exceeded expectations. Really, it was more than I could have ever imagined from start to finish. Everyone I met with and talked to at Himalayan Glacier were so kind and friendly and answered all my questions and provided great feedback about other parts of Nepal also. If you're thinking about trekking in Nepal I would highly recommend using Himalayan Glacier

Khopra Ridge - fabulous trek! Trekking to Khopra Ridge was an amazing experience! It is a little off the beaten path, which we appreciated. Not crowded at all. We felt like we had the mountains to ourselves. The trek was hard, make no mistake. But we expected that, and were delighted to challenge ourselves...and make it! We had the very best guide in all of Nepal: Pradip. He was young (30) but very experienced. He started over a decade ago with Himalayan Glacier as a porter, and is an accomplished, professional guide. He spoke excellent English and his knowledge of the terrain, culture, mountains, flowers, trees...was exhaustive. We also had the very best porter in all Nepal: Arjun. Retired from the Nepal Army, he had travelled many of places as a UN peacekeeper. He had an infectious smile and was such a great encouragement. Slow, slow, you can do it! We chose Himalayan Glacier very deliberately. We wanted a Nepalese owned company. Everyone at HG was super. They arranged every detail and everything went smoothly, from airport pick up to departure. We would both recommend Himalayan Glacier. If you want a great Nepal experience, with a Nepalese company, they are the company for you! Thank you Pradip. Thank you Arjun. Thank you HG. Hope to return and see you all again. Grace and Abbey

An awesome experience The beautiful scenery, people and culture of Nepal and the Himalayas made this trip one of the best that I have done, and I have travelled abroad a number of times. Spending time exploring the mountain villages and being amongst the locals going about their normal business was a delightful experience and the memories are now etched in my mind. The tour company, Himalayan Glacier, made the trip so easy and trouble free. From airport pick to drop off at the end of the trip I did not have to worry about a thing. The flight to Lukla, all accommodation and meals during the treck were arranged for me so I could could simply enjoy the treck in a hassle free environment. I had a large menu to chose from at all places and the food was delicious, especially the Sherpa vegetable soup. I'm planning to go back and do the Everest Base Camp treck next year with Himalayan Glacier. I strongly recommend planning to stay in Kathmandu for a few extra days after the treck in case of inclement weather delaying the flight out of Lukla. I was lucky and caught my scheduled flight but quite a few people were delayed for 1 day and 2 days as safety is paramount.

Wonderful Nepal Adventure We had a group of 5 and wanted to spend 3 weeks exploring Nepal. They designed a route that fit what we wanted to do! Than after reaching EBC, which was our big goal, Suresh our guide was able to change our plans at our request! We had wanted to do Gokyo Valley but decided to slow down and get away from the popular areas. We visited some less traveled trails with amazing views! They took super good care of us all the time.

Excellent Guide and Safe This was my first time being above 5000 metres and multiple day hike for more than 3 days. I am not that fit :p. Our guide, Ganga (Man) Bahadur Tamang ensure that we are all safe. He was joyful and full of encouragement, and really keen to make his client successful in the climbing. We all made it to the base camp and no one get sick. Man ensures all of our food and drinks are clean by entering the kitchen himself. We have the best porter too, Jiban. He assisted carrying my day bag too to help in the Chola Pass and Everest Section when he saw I am struggling. Both Man and Jiban go far and beyond to make us comfortable, enjoy the trip, and safe. Putting our guide Man phone number here, and photo. +977 984 2868506

"Mera Peak and Amphu Lumbcha Pass We did Mera Peak and Amphu Lumbcha pass October 2019 with help of Himalayan Glacier trekking company. From the beginning of planning to the very end of this adventure I couldn't be happier. People from this company are truly doing everything to make sure you are getting what you want and you leave with best possible experience. They are really professional at what they doing. My trip was tailor made according to my time frame and a budget. Communication and planning was like a talking to long time friend. Cant say enough thank you to Rayuna and Ashmii for planning and taking care of logistics in the office. At the trekking itself we had two best possible guides, Sherpa Ongchhu and Sherpa Saila, who were making sure we are safe and have the best possible experience in the mountains. This company is always doing extra step, like surprising me with a birthday cake, which sometimes means a lot, especially when you'e far away from home. Thank You Ashmii for that. And of course big Thank you to the owner of this company Mr. Sagar. He was realy doing for me much more then he should. He makes me feel like I'm part of his family, like a brother. Thank You again. Bottom line this company learn it's reputation and it is highly recommended. I've been working with them several times and I will work with them again on my next adventure.

Everest Base Camp Luxury Lodge Trek Our group of five had an amazing time hiking to EBC! The Luxury Lodge option is definitely worth it as we slept in comfortable beds (sometimes with heating pads) and took hot showers almost daily. The meals provided were tasty, had a wide variety and large quantities. Both accommodations and food exceeded our expectations. We are so thankful to our guide and assistant guide - Shankar and Bhakta as well as 3 porters. They were professional, patient, had great communication and our guides were literally there for us every step of the way. Shankar even brought extra goodies for us like cookies and fresh fruit... and surprised us with cakes for my birthday and a wedding anniversary! We couldn’t have asked for a better crew. I would highly recommend booking with Himalayan Glacier for treks and tours in Nepal. Nepal will forever hold a special place in our hearts as my boyfriend proposed to me at EBC! Thank you HGTA for a memorable experience!

Nepal and Bhutan Tour Thank you to Himalayan Glacier wonderful staff and guides for an amazing experience !!! Everyone was very welcoming and helpful . The tours in Kathmandu were so insightful and I experienced a new culture and people . I learned so much along the journey , but the best is always getting to know our faraway neighbors !! The food was great, all the hotels were very nice . As a shopper who loves collecting regional crafts , Kathmandu was simply an amazing place to gather things to bring home and enjoy. Arriving in Bhutan we were warmly greeted by Norbu and Tenzing who gave us an amazing tour of Bhutan! Before our journey began we got to have dinner with departing guests and we all laughed , ate and enjoyed great conversation!! Paul and Debra. PS get a Nepal Visa beforehand if possible!!

Additional Note

Please note that often the Kathmandu-Lukla-Kathmandu flight gets delayed by a few hours or may even be canceled for one, two, or more days due to unfavorable weather conditions. Such conditions may arise even in the best seasons. Hence, in such cases, you must be prepared for long waits either at Kathmandu or Lukla airports, as this can happen either at the start or end of the trek or even both! We will do our best to avoid such delays, and arrange the next flight for you. We also organize Helicopter rescue in such conditions, if it is available and upon request by our clients. The helicopter charges around USD 3500 and it can lift 4-5 persons per flight. Still, we suggest you to be prepared for possible delays/cancellations, and if possible to come with some extra buffer days (1-2 days) at the end of the trip to accommodate such delays. If everything runs smoothly and you still have a few days of your buffer days left then you may even engage yourself in optional activities which can be arranged by Himalayan Glacier upon request. The optional activities may include visiting places/landmarks of your choice, adventure sports, shopping, etc.

In case the flight delay/cancellation happens at the start of trip and it goes so long that it disturbs your onward travel schedule, you are free to choose an alternative trip such as a trek in the Annapurna, Langtang, or any other region. If you are not interested in the alternative trip and would rather wait for your original preferred trip, you are welcome to wait in Kathmandu for as many days as it takes to get a flight to Lukla. However, please note that there will be no refund, if you lose time waiting at the airport and do not take an alternative tour or you only do a short trek later due to time limitation. If the cancellation happens before the trip, we will provide you accommodation and lunch in a guesthouse in Kathmandu. In case of the flight delay/cancellation after finishing of the trek, you will be responsible for all your expenses. Please also note that you will not be entitled to any refund for the services (such as hotel, transport, flight, etc.) included in the package that you would not use later.

Meals

During our trek, we can enjoy authentic Nepalese food as well the more common international cuisine (Tibetan, Continental, Italian, Indian, etc.). Breakfast and dinner will be served from the teahouse or from a lodge menu where we spend the night whereas lunch will be served on the way to the next destination. All meals will be provided during trekking while only breakfast will be available in Kathmandu. There will also be welcome and farewell dinners for guests.

Accommodation

We will be accommodated in  Yatri Suites & Spa or Similar in Kathmandu and teahouses during the trek. All accommodations are on twin-shared basis. Single supplement will be served on request and will cost an additional USD 350. Himalayan Glacier will arrange rooms with attached washrooms; however, teahouses in some places only have shared washing and toilet facilities. Also note that single rooms are readily available in Kathmandu and the trekking regions at lower elevation but it might be difficult to find them at higher elevations.

Route Map

FAQs

In general, the trek is mostly moderate and slightly difficult at some places. Trekking to Namche Bazaar from Lukla itself is a challenging walk as the trail is very steep and sloppy. The farthest point on the trek is Tengboche at 3,870m (12,697ft.). You will take an acclimatization hike up to Everest View Hotel which is situated at 3,962m (13,000ft.) while you are in Namche Bazaar. This is in fact, the highest point on the trek. If you are physically fit and mentally strong with a strong determination, then this trek is not as difficult as one can reckon. The only factor that attributes to the difficulty of this trek is the altitude and the long walking hours on uneven terrains for several days.

Everest View trek is best done in pre-monsoon season i.e. from March to May and post-monsoon season i.e. from late September to December. It is also possible to do this trek in February and early September but the trek is best preferred during the above months.

Absolutely yes! Under normal circumstances, our booked trips are guaranteed to run. You will still be doing your trek even if other trekkers cancel their trip. This is the reason why Himalayan Glacier is different from other agencies, who usually cancel their whole trip a month or even a week before the trip date. We are a tailor-made company and the number of participants does not stop our operation. If your trip has been canceled by your operator and you are in a last-minute stress, remember to find us to sort out your trip decisions. Please feel free to book your stress-free holidays with us. Unless there is a situation which is out of control such as a political riot, natural disaster, pandemic, epidemic or weather catastrophes, our trips are 100% guaranteed to run.

Himalayan Glacier offers a lifetime deposit policy which allows you the flexibility to transfer your deposit to anyone or any other trip. If you wish to cancel your booked trips, certain cancelation charges apply. Please visit our booking terms and conditions for detailed information.

You will be guided by our experienced trek leaders who have been to the base camp and back multiple times for years. All our guides are locals who communicate very well in English and acquire deep knowledge of the mountain, people, culture, health, hygiene, and most importantly your safety.

After a long day’s hike, a relaxing night of comfortable sleep is very much crucial for the next day’s walk. Keeping your comfort into account, we make sure to book the best lodge with two beds in each room and western toilet facilities wherever available. Normally, the beds are clean and comfortable with an electric blanket (upon availability) and attached bathroom for most nights. The room’s temperature is usually maintained at 10-12°C / 50-54°F.

Love Nepal and it's people

It was the second visit to Nepal for my husband and l, and as similar to our first visit to Nepal in 2014, we felt incredibly blessed to be looked after by the team at Himalayan Glacier. They attended to our every need and their attention to detail and level of customer service, was first class. We feel like we have made life long friends and can't thank everyone enough for providing us with a very special expereince.
On this trip, we altered our plans at last minute due to expereincing illness, however it was no trouble at all for Himalayan Glacier to amend our trek to the Everest Veiw Trek instead of Gokyo Ri and every step of the way we felt at ease. It was lovely to expereince the Everest region with our guide Shanker, who also previously guided us in 2014. We very much enjoyed his warmth, caring nature, insight into the trek and cultural aspects of Nepal. And playing many card games! We appreciated an extra night in Khumjung to acclimatize and expereince this beautiful peaceful village. A wander through the stone walls of this village and Khunde, up to the Edmund Hillary memorial site was a real hightlight, as it offered 360 degree views at 4,200 m and we had the entire place to ourselves. It was incredibly beautiful, peaceful and surreal.
We would absolutely love to visit Nepal again sometime in the coming years and see our dear friends at Himalayan Glacier again. Thank you to everyone at Himalayan Glacier who made our 2019 trip so special and memorable.

Excellent, Awesome Trekking Experience

I came to Kathmandu without much knowledge on the trekking to Himalayas and how to get close or face to face with the Everest. I have no idea on the distance and hardship and the preparations needed for the journey. I am so fortunate to have been introduced to Himalayan Glacier by the Hotel's recommendation I put up with on my arrival. I have only 5 days and only the desire to experience trekking and to view Mt Everest as close as I can get. Mr. Naba, the director of Himalayan Glacier is a real gentleman whom customised a safe and realistic 4 days 3 nights trekking to the hearts of Khumbu Village and Valleys, and view points to highest peaks in the planet including the mighty Everest. They explained and helped me with everything. My trip was well planned and well managed without a hitch leaving the rest to me to relish and experience the beauties and awesomeness of the trails, the forest, the rivers, the nature and the vast landscape of Nepal and the Himalayas. Looking back at my photos and videos, the trekking was first class and memorable in many aspects. My recommendation to all new and experienced hikers is to get a reliable local mountain guide. It saves you a lot of time and worry free of handling Lukla's flight, lodging in teahouses, extra baggage and weights, getting food, basic necessities and hot water, clearing check point inspection, directions during your trekking, etc., so that you can put your mind and moments on enjoying your trekking, rivers, valleys, wildlife, villages, landscape, majestic mountains and all other nature that surrounds you. I had an amazing guide Mr. Baburam Khatri, a young, strong, reliable, hardworking, helpful and friendly guide that keep an eye on me during my ascent and descent, and make sure I am doing okay throughout the journey without restricting my movement and time. Fetching hot water, patiently wait for me while I took pauses for breather, easing up my loads of baggage, taking some great photo shots of me with the nature and the mountains, topping up mobile phone credits, etc. are some of the things he did so without asking or happily. I would highly recommend him without hesitation and he speaks and clearly understands English. Overall journey and experience for me as first time hiking at high altitude has been such an eye opener and I can't thank and compliment enough to Himalayan Glaciers for their professionalism but most of all their great care of my safety and well being during trekking. I say Himalayan Glacier did an excellent job and would highly recommend to first time, second time and even the experienced ones. I am all pump up to return for the next adventure with them for my first Everest Base Camp. Thank you very much Himalayan Glaciers, and Happy New Year.

Everest view trek was challenging

Firstly I would like to thank you(Himalayan Glacier) and your staff for such a wonderful and memorable experience in Nepal.I was treated with such respect and care that I was overwhelmed. The West is so different. It is materially rich and spiritually poor. In Nepal it is the opposite. In fact Prakash told me that Nepal stands for Never Ending Peace and Love. I was very touched by this description. The accommodation throughout was excellent and I felt totally safe and cared for throughout the trip. The guides were respectful, caring, attentive, efficient and knowledgable. I could not have wished for better.I wish to thank you particularly for organising such a wonderful experience for me and for your personal interest in my welfare which included the meal with your Dutch friends. You made me feel very welcome. The trip itself was challenging for me. But I am pleased that I perservered with the gentle encouragement of Prakash. There are no big mountains in Australia so I was a little unprepared. But it was well and truly worth it. As Bhairis, my guide on the way back, said: "Nepal is a little bit up and a little bit down."My stay at Kopan Monastery was wonderful also. I enjoyed not only the amazing mountains of Nepal but also its deep spirituality. In all the time that I was in Nepal from the time I was met at the airport to  leaving 7 weeks later I did not hear an angry word.I have told many people about how good Himalayan Glacier Trekking is and would always recommend your company. I know that Nepal Tourist Bureau is promoting Nepal as a tourist destination. I wish you and Nepal great fortune and many blessings.
