The Lhasa to Everest Base Camp Tour is an 8-day journey that begins and ends in Lhasa. This tour will take us from the capital city to the popular monasteries, pristine lakes, glaciers, rivers, farming valleys and breathtaking scenic  mountain views. Ultimately, passing through the fascinating Himalayas, we will drive to Everest Base Camp, the floor of the highest mountain in the world, and the main highlight of our trip. The spectacular view of the glorious Mt. Everest is such a sight to see and feels as if it was one of the greatest achievements of our life.

This Lhasa to EBC tour covers the beautiful Tibetan cities and historical towns of Lhasa, Gyantse, Shigatse and Rongbuk. While there, we will visit the most popular landmarks like the Potala and Norbulingka palaces, the Tibet Traditional Hospital, Barkhor bazaar and Gyantse Dzong. We will also cross several passes and visit the beautiful turquoise-colored Yamdrok Tso Lake. Impressive Tibetan monasteries like Sera, Drepung, Jokhang temple, Khumbum stupa, Tashi Lhumpo, Sakya and Rongbuk are ours to admire. The Lhasa to Everest Base Camp tour, a distance covering around 800 km, offers you a complete tour and merges Tibet’s most famous and sacred sites into an ideal package.

Mount kilimanjaro I just completed the Mount kilimanjaro climb organized by Himalayan Glacier. I was supported by a fantastic guide Fromance. He ensured my safety and took me on several additional walks at the various huts where we stayed. We had fun and very interesting adventures. The rest of the team included a fantastic chef, Yona, who created spectacular dishes including a celebratory cake for us after finishing the climb. I would highly recommend anyone considering this climb to go with Himalayan Glacier

The trip of a lifetime! This was such an incredible experience! It is so difficult to describe just how majestic and breathtaking the Himalayas really are. Every single day of the trek I found myself humbled by the scale and beauty of the mountains. Himalayan Glacier absolutely outdid themselves in terms of providing us with a trek that was organised, safe, fun, and most importantly, successful in making it up to Everest Base Camp! Our guide Homnath was friendly and knowledgeable, and our porter Bhakta was such a gentle and kind man. They both helped make our trip so easy and special. I'm so so pleased that I booked this trek through this company. I think it's really important to support the local community by using a guide and Himalayan Glacier provides a comprehensive end-to-end package that gave me total peace of mind through the entire trip (from landing in Kathmandu to leaving to go back to London).

3 Passes Trek with EBC Had an amazing time trekking with Himalayan Glacier and especially my guide Ashish. The service was excellent and far exceeded expectations. Really, it was more than I could have ever imagined from start to finish. Everyone I met with and talked to at Himalayan Glacier were so kind and friendly and answered all my questions and provided great feedback about other parts of Nepal also. If you're thinking about trekking in Nepal I would highly recommend using Himalayan Glacier

Khopra Ridge - fabulous trek! Trekking to Khopra Ridge was an amazing experience! It is a little off the beaten path, which we appreciated. Not crowded at all. We felt like we had the mountains to ourselves. The trek was hard, make no mistake. But we expected that, and were delighted to challenge ourselves...and make it! We had the very best guide in all of Nepal: Pradip. He was young (30) but very experienced. He started over a decade ago with Himalayan Glacier as a porter, and is an accomplished, professional guide. He spoke excellent English and his knowledge of the terrain, culture, mountains, flowers, trees...was exhaustive. We also had the very best porter in all Nepal: Arjun. Retired from the Nepal Army, he had travelled many of places as a UN peacekeeper. He had an infectious smile and was such a great encouragement. Slow, slow, you can do it! We chose Himalayan Glacier very deliberately. We wanted a Nepalese owned company. Everyone at HG was super. They arranged every detail and everything went smoothly, from airport pick up to departure. We would both recommend Himalayan Glacier. If you want a great Nepal experience, with a Nepalese company, they are the company for you! Thank you Pradip. Thank you Arjun. Thank you HG. Hope to return and see you all again. Grace and Abbey

An awesome experience The beautiful scenery, people and culture of Nepal and the Himalayas made this trip one of the best that I have done, and I have travelled abroad a number of times. Spending time exploring the mountain villages and being amongst the locals going about their normal business was a delightful experience and the memories are now etched in my mind. The tour company, Himalayan Glacier, made the trip so easy and trouble free. From airport pick to drop off at the end of the trip I did not have to worry about a thing. The flight to Lukla, all accommodation and meals during the treck were arranged for me so I could could simply enjoy the treck in a hassle free environment. I had a large menu to chose from at all places and the food was delicious, especially the Sherpa vegetable soup. I'm planning to go back and do the Everest Base Camp treck next year with Himalayan Glacier. I strongly recommend planning to stay in Kathmandu for a few extra days after the treck in case of inclement weather delaying the flight out of Lukla. I was lucky and caught my scheduled flight but quite a few people were delayed for 1 day and 2 days as safety is paramount.

Wonderful Nepal Adventure We had a group of 5 and wanted to spend 3 weeks exploring Nepal. They designed a route that fit what we wanted to do! Than after reaching EBC, which was our big goal, Suresh our guide was able to change our plans at our request! We had wanted to do Gokyo Valley but decided to slow down and get away from the popular areas. We visited some less traveled trails with amazing views! They took super good care of us all the time.

Excellent Guide and Safe This was my first time being above 5000 metres and multiple day hike for more than 3 days. I am not that fit :p. Our guide, Ganga (Man) Bahadur Tamang ensure that we are all safe. He was joyful and full of encouragement, and really keen to make his client successful in the climbing. We all made it to the base camp and no one get sick. Man ensures all of our food and drinks are clean by entering the kitchen himself. We have the best porter too, Jiban. He assisted carrying my day bag too to help in the Chola Pass and Everest Section when he saw I am struggling. Both Man and Jiban go far and beyond to make us comfortable, enjoy the trip, and safe. Putting our guide Man phone number here, and photo. +977 984 2868506

"Mera Peak and Amphu Lumbcha Pass We did Mera Peak and Amphu Lumbcha pass October 2019 with help of Himalayan Glacier trekking company. From the beginning of planning to the very end of this adventure I couldn't be happier. People from this company are truly doing everything to make sure you are getting what you want and you leave with best possible experience. They are really professional at what they doing. My trip was tailor made according to my time frame and a budget. Communication and planning was like a talking to long time friend. Cant say enough thank you to Rayuna and Ashmii for planning and taking care of logistics in the office. At the trekking itself we had two best possible guides, Sherpa Ongchhu and Sherpa Saila, who were making sure we are safe and have the best possible experience in the mountains. This company is always doing extra step, like surprising me with a birthday cake, which sometimes means a lot, especially when you'e far away from home. Thank You Ashmii for that. And of course big Thank you to the owner of this company Mr. Sagar. He was realy doing for me much more then he should. He makes me feel like I'm part of his family, like a brother. Thank You again. Bottom line this company learn it's reputation and it is highly recommended. I've been working with them several times and I will work with them again on my next adventure.

Everest Base Camp Luxury Lodge Trek Our group of five had an amazing time hiking to EBC! The Luxury Lodge option is definitely worth it as we slept in comfortable beds (sometimes with heating pads) and took hot showers almost daily. The meals provided were tasty, had a wide variety and large quantities. Both accommodations and food exceeded our expectations. We are so thankful to our guide and assistant guide - Shankar and Bhakta as well as 3 porters. They were professional, patient, had great communication and our guides were literally there for us every step of the way. Shankar even brought extra goodies for us like cookies and fresh fruit... and surprised us with cakes for my birthday and a wedding anniversary! We couldn’t have asked for a better crew. I would highly recommend booking with Himalayan Glacier for treks and tours in Nepal. Nepal will forever hold a special place in our hearts as my boyfriend proposed to me at EBC! Thank you HGTA for a memorable experience!

Nepal and Bhutan Tour Thank you to Himalayan Glacier wonderful staff and guides for an amazing experience !!! Everyone was very welcoming and helpful . The tours in Kathmandu were so insightful and I experienced a new culture and people . I learned so much along the journey , but the best is always getting to know our faraway neighbors !! The food was great, all the hotels were very nice . As a shopper who loves collecting regional crafts , Kathmandu was simply an amazing place to gather things to bring home and enjoy. Arriving in Bhutan we were warmly greeted by Norbu and Tenzing who gave us an amazing tour of Bhutan! Before our journey began we got to have dinner with departing guests and we all laughed , ate and enjoyed great conversation!! Paul and Debra. PS get a Nepal Visa beforehand if possible!!

Himalayan Glacier- Excellant experience

I was joined by two close friends who researched and found Himalayan Glacier for our trip to Nepal, Tibet and Bhutan. Thank goodness they found them. The company, thru Vidya Shakya, organized everything for us and emailed us with any updates, suggestions and answers to any of our questions almost immediately. They were incredibly responsive and accommodating. If we wished to modify any portion of the trip they provided appropriate feedback and suggestions. They were flexible and accommodating and their prices were more than fair. They even treated us to two dinners in Nepal even though not expected. Mr. Naba was of great assistance and they have one of the best guides and friends in Mr. Nabin who not only showed us around but took time out of his own day to share with us additional experiences in Kathmandu at no cost when he really had no obligation to do so.We were totally satisfied with their services and viewed them more as friends than tour guides. All of their plans and hard work resulted in us having a most rewarding experience and one i would recommend to anyone interested. As a suggestion, if you are going to visit all three countries i would spend a bit more time in Tibet and Bhutan than Nepal which might makes sense due to traffic, road construction and pollution in Kathmandu and the surrounding areas which make travel a little more challenging than one might wish. But Vidya, Mr. Naba and Mr. Nabin and their guides in Nepal, Tibet and Bhutan were exceptional. All of their hard work resulted in a wonderful experience for all of us. Great company, but more importantly, great people.

Great Trip

The trip was great. The guide and driver did a very good job. I wish I could have spent more time at base camp but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

Trip of a life time in Nepal and Tibet

My husband and I just had a tour with Himalayan Glacier from Kathmandu, Nepal to Tibet and we can honestly say it was an incredible experience we will remember for the rest of our lives. Himalayan Glacier staffs took great care for us the moment we landed in Kathmandu. There was a pickup ride arranged for us to the hotel and the hotel stay was superb beyond our expectations. Throughout the tour, the Executive Director (Mr. Naba) took care of us to ensure we know what to do and the detail itinerary for the entire tour in Kathmandu and Tibet. He made sure we know all areas we will face when entering Tibet such as dealing with the change in climate given that we went in January. In addition, the potential of altitude sickness for the high elevation in Tibet. Overall, we had a great experience on the tour and the staffs were extremely nice and attentive to our well beings. Prior to the tour, we were always in contact with Vidya via email and she was great and responsive to all our inquiries and concerns. She was a big help in accommodating to all our requests and we were so happy to meet her in person in Kathmandu. In addition, I lost my wedding band at the hotel and we contacted Himalayan Glacier to ask them pick it up for us. They were more than happy to pick up from the hotel and wait to deliver to us at the airport. We were truly grateful for their service as they went above and beyond our expectations. We would definitely recommend Himalayan Glacier to anyone looking for tours in Nepal, Tibet, India, and Bhutan areas as you will not be disappointed with their services.
