Similar arrangements can also be made for dinner. Lunch will be taken en route to the next destination(s). We recommend our guest(s) to budget Yuan 60 to Yuan 100(US$10 to US$16) for lunch and dinner in a single day. We will be staying at Kyichu Hotel in Lhasa, Yeti Hotel in Gyantse, Gesar Hotel in Shigatse and Rongbuk Monastery Guest House in Rongbuk. I was joined by two close friends who researched and found Himalayan Glacier for our trip to Nepal, Tibet and Bhutan. Thank goodness they found them. The company, thru Vidya Shakya, organized everything for us and emailed us with any updates, suggestions and answers to any of our questions almost immediately. They were incredibly responsive and accommodating. If we wished to modify any portion of the trip they provided appropriate feedback and suggestions. They were flexible and accommodating and their prices were more than fair. They even treated us to two dinners in Nepal even though not expected. Mr. Naba was of great assistance and they have one of the best guides and friends in Mr. Nabin who not only showed us around but took time out of his own day to share with us additional experiences in Kathmandu at no cost when he really had no obligation to do so.We were totally satisfied with their services and viewed them more as friends than tour guides. All of their plans and hard work resulted in us having a most rewarding experience and one i would recommend to anyone interested. As a suggestion, if you are going to visit all three countries i would spend a bit more time in Tibet and Bhutan than Nepal which might makes sense due to traffic, road construction and pollution in Kathmandu and the surrounding areas which make travel a little more challenging than one might wish. But Vidya, Mr. Naba and Mr. Nabin and their guides in Nepal, Tibet and Bhutan were exceptional. All of their hard work resulted in a wonderful experience for all of us. Great company, but more importantly, great people.
Show moreThe trip was great. The guide and driver did a very good job. I wish I could have spent more time at base camp but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
Show moreMy husband and I just had a tour with Himalayan Glacier from Kathmandu, Nepal to Tibet and we can honestly say it was an incredible experience we will remember for the rest of our lives. Himalayan Glacier staffs took great care for us the moment we landed in Kathmandu. There was a pickup ride arranged for us to the hotel and the hotel stay was superb beyond our expectations. Throughout the tour, the Executive Director (Mr. Naba) took care of us to ensure we know what to do and the detail itinerary for the entire tour in Kathmandu and Tibet. He made sure we know all areas we will face when entering Tibet such as dealing with the change in climate given that we went in January. In addition, the potential of altitude sickness for the high elevation in Tibet. Overall, we had a great experience on the tour and the staffs were extremely nice and attentive to our well beings. Prior to the tour, we were always in contact with Vidya via email and she was great and responsive to all our inquiries and concerns. She was a big help in accommodating to all our requests and we were so happy to meet her in person in Kathmandu. In addition, I lost my wedding band at the hotel and we contacted Himalayan Glacier to ask them pick it up for us. They were more than happy to pick up from the hotel and wait to deliver to us at the airport. We were truly grateful for their service as they went above and beyond our expectations. We would definitely recommend Himalayan Glacier to anyone looking for tours in Nepal, Tibet, India, and Bhutan areas as you will not be disappointed with their services.
