Upon our arrival in Kathmandu, a representative from Himalayan Glacier will pick us up from the airport and lead us to our designated hotel. In the afternoon, there will be a welcome meeting where we can meet our tour leader and other team members. We can use this time to ask any questions about our trip to the management and trek leader. Since there are no activities planned for today, if we arrive early then we are free to explore the nearby touristic Thamel area. In the evening, there will be a welcome dinner hosted by Himalayan Glacier where we will try excellent Nepalese cuisine that will introduce us to the country’s food culture. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Today after breakfast in our hotel, we will start our guided walking tour with our dedicated guide. We will visit the bazaar areas and the old towns including age-old temples in Kathmandu. At the bazaar area, we will be able to witness the daily life of the city people, street vendors selling spices and other stuffs, and rickshaw drivers blowing their horns everywhere. After lunch, we will visit the temple of Pashupatinath, the holiest of the Hindu shrines in the country. Afterwards, we will also visit Boudhhanath Stupa, the largest stupa in the country which is a religious destination for Buddhist pilgrims. We will then go back to our hotel room and rest for the remaining time before dinner or simply loiter around for personal or window-shopping. Overnight in Kathmandu.
After an early breakfast in the morning, we will depart from Kathmandu and drive towards Pokhara, the Lake City of Nepal. It is a journey of around 6 to 7 hours including a stoppage for lunch enroute, at a typical Nepali roadside café. On arrival in Pokhara, we will be transferred to our designated hotel where we will stretch our feet and relax for some time. In the early evening, we will meet our trek leader who will brief us about our upcoming trek in the Annapurna region. He will explain everything about the trek and give us an idea of what to expect while trekking on a daily basis, and also make sure that we have the right equipment with us.
We drive from Pokhara after breakfast for about 90 minutes to the starting point of our trek at Nayapul. Following a ridgeline on the lower foothills of Annapurna along with panoramic view of Pokhara on the backdrop, we will begin walking at a slow pace. We will have our lunch at a point somewhere in between before reaching our day’s destination. After lunch we keep walking on a downhill track that drops until we begin following the Modi River Valley until we reach Birethanti. There, we will be transferred to Sanctuary Lodge, the first of our comfortable Ker and Downey lodges, constructed in a traditional mountain style by local artisans. Overnight in Birethanti.
After breakfast at the Sanctuary Lodge, we begin our day’s hike walking past the farms and once again following the Modi River Valley. After walking for some time, we then begin to climb out of the river valley and ascend up towards the mountainous segments. We will cross several tiny villages, terraced rice fields and forests with spectacular views of the surrounding valley as we gradually ascend. On reaching Ghandruk and Himalayan Lodge where we will be spending our night, we will have our lunch. Then we will go to our rooms that provides magnificent close-up views of the Annapurna peaks, and relax for the remaining time. Overnight in Ghandruk.
Today, we will be woken up by our morning tea and after getting refreshed, we will enjoy coffee in the garden area and have a glimpse of the sunrise over the giant Himalayan peaks like Annapurna ranges, Mt. Hiunchuli, Mt. Gangapurna, and Mt. Machhapuchhre. In a short while we will have our breakfast savoring the splendid views of the surrounding and then resume our trek. Leaving Landruk behind, we start to descend on a trail that is steep and leads to the banks of the Modi River. Next, we cross a robust suspension bridge to reach the other side of the river bank and continue trekking further. Walking through bends and corners for around an hour or so, we will reach the Gurung Village of Landruk and enter the La Bee Lodge where we will spend the night. Perched on a cliff edge with awe-inspiring views that stretch far into the distance, Landruk offer some glorious views of the Annapurna peaks. We will have our lunch at the lodge and rest for a while before setting out to explore the village in the late afternoon. Overnight in Landruk.

Contouring the hillside with few little uphill and downhill walks for most of the time and passing through tiny villages and farmlands, we will reach the village of Majgaun. After reaching the village, we will go to our final Ker and Downey’s lodges of the trip, Gurung Lodge and have hot lunch there. After lunch, we will relax for a while at the lodge’s room and the entire afternoon is free for us to explore the nearby surroundings and enjoy the panoramic views. Overnight in Majgaun.
We will leave Gurung Lodge after breakfast and continue trekking towards Patlekhet, which is a small village on the way towards Pothana. Trekking through sub-tropical forests on most sections of the trail, we will reach Basanta Lodge nearby the Dhampus Village. We will be served with hot lunch on arrival at the lodge after which we may relax for some time in our room. On arrival at Chitwan, we will check in at our hotel where we will be instructed on the various activities that we will be engaged in during our stay in Chitwan National Park. We will then walk on the banks of the Rapti River to enjoy the sunset in the sub-tropical jungles of Chitwan. Then we will go out for a village walk within the park and understand the lives led by the local Tharu people. In the evening, we enjoy dinner along with a brief cultural program showcasing the tribal dances unique to the Chitwan region of Nepal. Overnight in Chitwan.
