The aptly named Annapurna Base Camp Trek is one of the most intensely scenic treks in Nepal. Because of an amazing scenery in the Annapurna Sanctuary, this trek has become one of the most popular treks and is a huge amphitheatre surrounded by 10 peaks that are more than 20,000 feet (6,100m) tall, including Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Annapurna III, and Machhapuchhre. There are few treks that combine so many different landscapes and bring you so close to the base of 7,000 and 8,000 m high peaks in such a short period of time as the Annapurna Base Camp Trek.

The trail goes alongside terraced rice paddies, lush rhododendron forests, and high altitude landscapes, with the Annapurna Range in view most of the times. Passing through the high hills and ethnic villages of Gurung and Managi inhabitants, the trek assimilates both natural and cultural wonders of the region. The trek begins in Pokhara, popularly known as the ‘Lake City’ and passes through cascading waterfalls, beautiful villages, terraced farmlands, lush rhododendron forests, and amazing mountain vistas before reaching the base of the mighty Annapurna.
