With gradual increase in the number of travelers in the Everest region each year, more teahouses and lodges have come up to cater to the food and accommodation needs of trekkers. Local people transformed their teahouses and lodges into more luxurious hotels and lodges, which is one significant change that can be observed in the Everest trekking region. Moreover, a good number of luxury lodges also have been built in recent times. With the passage of time, the needs and demands of trekkers have also changed and more travelers are looking for comfortable stay during their trek. Local government has made several changes to provide more comfort keeping in view the demands of the tourists.
