My son, Graham, and I had a marvelous trip to Nepal.
Everything Tony and the Nepal staff planned for us was terrific. Tony was always available by phone to answer my many questions prior to the trip.
He was very professional and was able to share his knowledge of the area. Having Tony here in the USA, and speaking with him on a regular basis made me switch our trip from REI to your company.
Our city tour with Kapil Pandey was so informative; he did such a good job in educating us about life in Kathmandu.
We really enjoyed the many places he took us to visit, especially the river area and the temples.
Our trip to the Everest Trail was amazing. Our guide, Raj Kumar Khadka, was perfect – he was so helpful, considerate and knowledgeable about the region.
We could not have asked for a better guide. We would request him again if and when we return.
The lodges were great – each one had its own style – the people were so kind and made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived. The food was very good as well.
Our porter, Sange Tamang was amazing. Our bags were always waiting for us at the lodges. He always had a smile!
The hotels in Kathmandu, Hyatt & Dwarka, were wonderful, especially the Dwarkas – one of the nicest, unique hotels I have ever stayed in!
Our trip was truly a “once in a lifetime” experience! Your company made it all possible!!

I have friends that are very interested in this trip.
These are the things we wish we had known before the trip:
- Challenges getting to Lukla – if flights are delayed/ canceled what are the consequences to the trip (rebooking, hotels, lodges, helicopter, etc.)?
- Luxury lodges do not require a sleeping bag, liner, etc. (we almost brought our sleeping bags)
- Travel thru India (even transit) required a visa which was a difficult/complicated process
