Cycling for peace and prosperity

A cycle tour from Boudha in Kathmandu to Lumbini, ‘Tour de’ Lumbini: pedal for peace’ will combine the best of tourism and sports in the four-day cycle tour aimed at promoting the message of peace.

Starting on May 11, the tour will start from Boudha and reach Lumbini on May 14 via Pashupati, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhu, Kurintar, Narayanghad, Butwal and Bhairahawa. The end of the tour will coincide with Buddha Purnima.

Organized by World Cyclist Foundation Nepal in partnership with Lumbini Development Trust, Tour de’ Lumbini was first organized on 2012 to mark the ‘Visit Lumbini Year 2012’. Since this cycle tour is a joint affirmation for national prosperity and world peace, the organizers invite participation from cyclists and biking enthusiasts from all over Nepal and the world.
