Embark on spectacular flight to Paro with breathtaking views over the Himalaya from Kathmandu. Upon arrival at Paro drive to Thimpu. At Thimpu pay your visit to Semtokha Dzong and Trashichi Dzong. Furthermore, stroll through Memorial Chorten, handicraft emporium and painting school. At the same time do not forget to hike at Tiger’s Nest monastery.

Start your splendid Bumthang valley trek passing through several villages. This trek provides an exceptional opportunity to discover Bhutanese rural life. On the way to Punakha enjoy the scenic drive and get spectacular views of the Himalayas. Drive downhill through the forests of rhododendron, fir and hemlock.

Drive to Bumthang, the cultural heartland of Bhutan-compared to Switzerland. Cross the enroute pass and at certain times see yaks. Visit to Trongsa Dzong, the masterpiece of Bhutanese architecture on the way. Proceed to Bumthang with lush valleys and hilly forests. Furthermore, on the way to Bumthang savor the beautiful surroundings of Ngang Lhakhang, Ugyen Choling , Jakar and also pass through the Mebar Tsho (Flaming Lake).

At  Bumthang, stroll through Jakar Dzong, the administrative center of Bumthang valley. Pay your visit to Jambay Lhakhang, one of the oldest monasteries in Bhutan, dating from the introduction of Buddhism in Bhutan. Find yourself at Kurjey Lhakhang, one of the most sacred places in the valley. Then visit Tamshing Monastery, which is founded by the great treasure discoverer.

At the culmination of this trip, return to Paro via Wangdue. On the way, visit Chimi Lhakhang, which is a fertility temple dedicated to Divine Madman or Lama Drukpa Kuenley. Receive blessing from the Lama’s wooden phallus! Also visit Druk Wangyal Monastery, which is the only of its kind in the country with elaborate paintings depicting the lineage of the present monarchy and their visionary works.
