The massive earthquake that struck Nepal on Saturday, April 25 killed more than 7,000 people and destroyed many buildings around the country. It also laid waste to some of the nation’s landmark temples, which draw thousands of tourists to the country each year. As Nepal is reeling from a 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck near the center of the country, Himalayan Glacier Team in Nepal is working for emergency response and is gathering a relief fund for those affected by earthquake.
Himalayan Glacier Spain has also set up relief fund for earthquake victims in Val d’Aran, Spain. Himalayan Glacier in coordination with Counselor Barcelona and local government Conselh Generau Val d’Aran, Spain have started this initiative. A call for relief fund has been announced in official website, local dailies and FM Radios by Conselh Generau and local government of Val d’Aran.
