Upon our arrival at the Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu, we will be greeted by a representative from Himalayan Glacier who will take us to Hotel Shanker or another hotel of a similar category. After checking in, we visit Himalayan Glacier’s office for trip preparation and also to meet your crew. In the evening, there will be a welcome dinner hosted by Himalayan Glacier which will introduce you to the Nepalese food culture.

Day 02
Sightseeing in Kathmandu: Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath and Bauddhanath

After breakfast, we begin our sightseeing tour by visiting UNESCO World Heritage Sites within Kathmandu. Kathmandu Durbar Square showcases Nepalese art and architecture at its best. The architecture is typical of the Malla dynasty who ruled over Nepal from the 12th to the 18th century. Swayambhunath Temple is popular among tourists as the Monkey Temple owing to the large monkey population residing in the area. Pashupatinath Temple is situated on the banks of river Bagmati and is one of the principal temples of Lord Shiva. The Bouddhanath Stupa is one of the largest stupas in South Asia which is built on the ancient trade route to Tibet.

Day 03
Drive to Pokhara via Manakamana temple

We begin our journey to Pokhara, also known as The Lake City, on a winding road alongside the Trishuli River. Next, we board a cable car and visit the much revered Manakamana Temple dedicated to the Hindu Goddess Bhagwati and situated atop a 1300-meter hill. The name Manakamana is derived from two words, Mana, meaning heart and Kamana, meaning wish. It is believed that the Goddess Bhagwati rewards those who make the pilgrimage to her shrine by granting their wishes. After a tour of the temple area we take a cable car back to where we started and continue our drive to Pokhara. Overnight in Pokhara.

Day 04
Sightseeing in Pokhara

Early in the morning we leave for Sarangkot, a hill that overlooks the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges in the north and Pokhara city in the south. From here, we catch amazing views of the sun as it rises in the mighty Himalayas. We then head back to Pokhara and continue touring the city’s landmarks. Davis Falls is a unique waterfall that flows directly into a narrow and deep canal which has no end. The Shiva Cave is located near Davis Falls and houses a shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva, a primary Hindu God. We also do some boating in Phewa Lake, the largest lake in Pokhara, and visit Bindyabasini Temple located at the center of the lake. We visit the famous International Mountain Museum (IMM) that records, documents and chronicles the past and present development of mountaineering activities in the world and the Himalayas in particular. We also tour the Tibetan refugee camp and witness how the refugees keep themselves busy by producing and trading woolen carpets and other handicraft items. Overnight in Pokhara.

Day 05
Drive from Pokhara to Chitwan

After breakfast, we say goodbye to the beautiful northern skyline of Pokhara and drive towards Chitwan, a city located at the foot of the Churia range and famous for housing Chitwan National Park (CNP), the first national park in Nepal, which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Upon reaching Chitwan, we take jungle/nature walks deep into the national park. During the walks, we enjoy the company of a wide variety of flora and fauna and spend some time bird watching. In the evening, there will be a presentation on the wide range of flora and fauna of CNP. Overnight in Chitwan.

Day 06
Chitwan safari
Chitwan 415m / 1,362ft

Today there is something special in store for the animal lover inside us. Early in the morning, we will be mounted on elephant backs for a jungle safari through dense grasslands to witness wildlife in their natural habitat. After breakfast, we visit the elephant stables and even enjoy bathing the elephants. During the afternoon we can either drive through the jungles by Jeep or take a canoe ride down the Rapti River. During the safari, we go deep into the jungle and spot deer, the endangered one-horn rhinoceros, as well as other wild animals. If lucky, we may even spot the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger. While canoeing, we may get a close look at the Gharial and Mugger Crocodiles along with fresh-water dolphins, otters and varieties of water birds. Or, we may even go for bird watching or a nature walk and come closer to a variety of wild flora and fauna found in the park. Overnight in Chitwan.

Fly to Kathmandu, sightseeing of Bhaktapur then drive to Nagarkot

We fly to Kathmandu in the morning and visit Bhaktapur, an irresistible city with an authentic local lifestyle preserved over centuries of isolation from the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu. While in the city square, we get to admire the Nyata-Pola Temple, the Golden Gate, water spouts and the 55 Window Palace which merge together to provide an ambiance of a magical outdoor theater to its visitors. We also immerse ourselves in the authentic delicacy of the locals in Bhaktapur. After touring Bhaktapur, we drive to Nagarkot for an overnight stay.

Day 08
Sunrise in Nagarkot, transfer to The Last Resort, cannyoning program

Nagarkot is a village in Bhaktapur which sits at 7,200 ft and boasts stunning Himalayan vistas. It is also renowned for its sunrise and sunset views of the Himalayas. Therefore, we get up early in the morning to admire excellent views of sunrise from the mighty Himalayas. Later, we drive to the Last Resort and after settling in, take part in their canyoning program. Today we spend time abseiling, sliding, jumping, climbing and swimming which are all important aspects of canyoning. While canyoning, we pass over sheer cliffs and slides to pounding waterfalls. Feeling the adrenalin buzz while leaping off waterfalls and sliding down glass-smooth rocks will be an amazing experience for any adventure enthusiast and nature lover. Overnight at The Last Resort.

Day 09
Rafting in Bhotekoshi River then drive to Kathmandu

This day is set aside for white-water rafting, one of the most popular adventure sports in Nepal. While rafting, we come across all kinds of rapids not too far from one another. Battling these rapids will be a challenge. However, we also occasionally raft through calm sections of the river. During this time we admire the natural beauty of the surrounding areas. The green vegetation, curious villagers and the river banks are ours to marvel at. After completing our rafting journey, we head back to Kathmandu. In the evening, we celebrate the successful completion of our journey, with a farewell dinner in the evening.Overnight in Kathmandu.
