Discover Sikkim and Darjeeling Tour  - 7 Days

Our Sikkim and Darjeeling tour begins today. In the morning, we meet the local representative from Himalayan Glacier at Phuntsholing (Bhutan Border- 250Km 6 hours) or Bhadrapur Airport (Nepal Border- 140km 5 hours) or Bagdogra Airport (flights connect from Delhi and Kolkata-78km 3hours). At our arrival we will be escorted to Kalimpong. Check in at Hotel at Kalimpong.

Today at first, we pay our visit to some of sightseeing places in Kalimpong like Dello View point and Hat Bazar. There are few Tibetan Buddhist Gompas in Kalimpong as well. Among them are, the Tharpa Choling Gompa. After sightseeing we have to take break for lunch. After lunch we will drive for Gangtok. (75km 3hours). Check in at Hotel at Gangtok.

Today early morning, we make our first visit to Tashi View point about 8 km From Gangtok. It is a resting shed. Astounding views of Khangchendzonga and the Siniolchu Range are the main attractive of this point. The distant north Sikkim monasteries are also visible from this point along the North Sikkim highway. Then, we come back to the hotel for breakfast. After breakfast, we visit at Directorate of Handicrafts and Handlooms or Government Institute of Cottage Industries, Enchey Monastery, Research Institute of Tibetology, and Rumtek Monastery. Overnight in Gangtok.

Today at the completion of our early breakfast, we will be escorted to Pelling. Pelling is a small town in western Sikkim. The drive will be 126km and will take 6 hours including sightseeing. On the way, we pay our visit to Pemayangtse Monastery, and Rabdenste Palace Ruins. Overnight in Pelling

Upon our breakfast, we visit to Khechopalri Lake. The name Khechopalri means Lake of birds in pleasant mountains, but Sikkimese call it Tsho-Sho which means Great Lake.The lake is the foot print of Goddess Tara. Khechopalri lake (1780m) lies in a depression surrounded by prayer flags and forested hills. The tranquility of the lake is mood elevating. After the visit to the lake, we come to the hotel for lunch. After lunch we head for Darjeeling. Pelling to Darjeeling, the drive is of 105km and will take 5hours. Check in at Hotel at Darjeeling.

Today early in the morning, we will be at Tiger Hill to see the view of sun rise over Mt Kanchendzonga. On our return trip, we also visit at Yiga-Choling(Ghoom) monastery. After breakfast, we make a sightseeing trip around Darjeeling, some of the places we visit within Darjeeling include Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Tea Garden and Tea Factory. Then in the evening walk around Darjeeling and then farewell dinner at Darjeeling’s oldest Restaurant (Glenary’s)

Our whole trip comes to an end today! Upon the completion of our breakfast we will be escorted to Phuntsholing (Bhutan Border- 280km will take 7hours) or Bhadrapur Airport (Nepal Border- 130km will take 5hours) or Bagdogra Airport (flights connect from Delhi and Kolkata- 95 km will take 4hours) for our flight for onward tour.
