In peak seasons (spring and autumn 2026), most Lukla flights depart from Manthali Airport, Ramechhap — about 4–5 hours by road from Kathmandu. All ground transfers are included in our package.
This change was introduced to reduce air traffic congestion at Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport. Himalayan Glacier arranges an early-morning hotel pick-up in Kathmandu for the drive to Ramechhap, so the logistics are fully handled; you just need to be ready on time. We also have contingency plans for weather-related Lukla flights.
