Royal Trek for the ultimate regal experience

One of the shortest and delightful trekking trails along the Annapurna region, Royal Trek never fails to mesmerize you with its spell-binding Himalayan panorama, natural marvels and the untainted Nepalese culture. There is an interesting story behind the name ‘Royal’ when it comes to this trek as Britain’s Prince Charles and several entourages had hiked along this route in the early eighties during his visit to Nepal. Hence the name ‘Royal’ was coined to this trail. Royal Trek is a short and easy walk in the low altitudes of the Annapurna Region. The trail follows a shrub like path along the foothills of Annapurna, north of the Pokhara valley. The journey begins in the beautiful lakeside city of Pokhara and passes through beautiful Gurung hamlets.  Stunning views of the eloquently built hillside rice terraces, and the magnificent Annapurna range, Machapuchhre and the Langtang Mountain accompany you throughout the trek. The trip finally ends at the scenic Begnas Lake which is about 30 km west of Pokhara City. Royal Trek not only offers glorious mountain vistas and green hill landscapes but also provides an opportunity for meaningful cultural exchange with the diverse people and cultures that inhabit this region. This trail is less crowded and less frequented by people in comparison to other routes in the Annapurna region and is ideal for those who wish to be amidst the company of the mighty Himalayas but are unable to go on any long and strenuous hikes. Explore the green hilly landscapes and typical hill land culture with snowcapped mountains for a backdrop like ‘Royals’ do with us.
