While the Kilimanjaro packing list is extensive, it’s crucial not to overlook the basic equipment needed for a successful climb. Weight limit for Kilimanjaro Climb

Our complete packing list for Mt. Kilimanjaro is a practical thing to all climbers. Our porters are limited to carrying a total of 33 lbs (15kg) of your personal belongings. So, you need to be selective in what you take with you. You do not need to bring all the gears needed for Kilimanjaro climb from your home. There are options to hire them in Moshi or Arusha at a nominal rate. 

The lack of proper gears and equipment during Kili climb is an important factor which decides how hard it is to climb Kilimanjaro. Make sure that you have everything you need to help you successfully summit the Uhuru Peak. You are responsible for bringing along all your personal gears and equipment while we provide the communal equipment. Our porters will carry most of your gears from camp to camp while you will carry your own daypack.

A common mistake most climbers make during any trip is that they over-pack. It is actually the sense of being out in the wilderness that evokes a feeling of packing everything. But, over-packing will make your trip more difficult. Just remember that your porter has a weight limitation and you will have to carry anything that crosses the weight limit. Pack light and smart, but do not leave out anything that is necessary.
