A guide is strongly recommended and effectively required for safety at high altitude. Solo travelers can join our small-group departures (max 12 people) at the standard price — no solo supplement on group bookings.

Guides provide altitude sickness monitoring, emergency response, weather and route decisions, and invaluable local knowledge. Nepal’s government strongly recommends licensed guides for all trekkers. Private guided treks are also available on any date you choose.
