Arrival in Delhi

After arriving in Delhi, a representative from Himalayan Glacier will pick us up from the airport and take us to our hotel. We may take a rest in the afternoon, and in the evening, there will be a welcome dinner hosted by Himalayan Glacier. For dinner, you will be served authentic Indian cuisine which will introduce you to the country’s food culture. Overnight in Delhi.

Day 02
Sightseeing in Delhi: India Gate, Red Fort, Qutab Minar, and Humayun's Tomb

After sumptuous breakfast, we will start our Delhi tour package with sightseeing of the Laxminarayan Temple which is the first large scale Hindu Temple built in Delhi. Also, pass by Delhi’s most loved public space India gate which is modeled on Paris’ Arc de Triomphe. We will continue our walk to Several UNESCO World Heritage sites within Delhi -The captivating historical Red Fort, Highest Brick Minaret in the world Qutab Minar and the first garden tomb in the Indian sub-continent which is Humayun’s Tomb. Day 03
Drive to Pink City- Jaipur

After breakfast, drive to Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan, also known as ‘Pink City’ because it was colored in terracotta pink in 1876 to welcome Prince Albert and Queen Victoria. Starting in front of the iconic palace of the winds, we will begin guided 2.5 hours of walk through vibrant bazaar chatting and mingling with vendors and locals and observing local artisans workshop where you will get hands-on experience of the local craft and arts. Explore the major highlights of Jaipur

We will begin the day exploring iconic monuments of Jaipur starting with the visit of magnificent Amber Fort, which is also known as Amer Fort. We take a guided walking tour through the narrow lanes, the Havelis and temples to the City Palace. City Palace is an 18th century Royal residence. We will continue our walk to the adjacent astronomical Observatory of Jaipur, known as Jantar Mantar. The UNESCO World Heritage Site features the world’s largest stone sundial. Then we will discover the magnificent Hawa Mahal( Place of Winds) with its honeycombed sandstone windows where the ladies of the royal household would watch everyday life pass by. Drive to Agra, with a stop at Fatehpur Sikri

Enjoy a leisurely morning before traveling to the deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri built by the great Mughal Emperor Akbar in the 16th century, this short-lived capital of the Mughal Empire is a fine example of Mughar walled city. Drive to Delhi, Fly to Varanasi : explore Ganges in Private boat

Drive 4 hours to Delhi in a private vehicle. And Fly to India’s holiest Hindu city, Varanasi which is thought to be over 3000 years old and situated along the sacred river Ganges. We will make our way to scenic Ganges river. We will witness The Aarati Ceremony – it is a Hindu devotional ritual performed on the banks of the Ganges, using fire as an offering to Maa Ganga Goddess of the holiest river India. Ritual lasts a little less than an hour near Dashwamedh Ghat, after which our guide will take you to board your boat for a revealing cruise at dusk along the Ganges river whilst listening to the sounds of traditional Indian music to experience Varanasi’s night views as observed from the river. Day 08
Varanasi Sightseeing: Explore the colossal temples and Ghats

As the sun begins to rise and the temples are bathed in soft light, observe the hundreds of devotees who gather to wash in the holy waters. Slowly drift down the Ganges river as you watch the gnats come to life as hundreds of devotees gather to wash in the holy water. It is believed by Hindus that taking a dip in the holy river Ganges will wash away their sins and to die and get cremated by the banks of the Ganges will liberate them from the endless cycle of death and re-birth.

When sunlight hits the ashrams, old buildings, and palaces located along the Ganges riverside, it looks as colorful as a rainbow. After sightseeing of these temples, Our guide will also introduce the history associated with Manikarnika Ghat. This ghat is famous for its daily cremations. We will visit the ghat to take a look at the death rituals passage that Hindus perform. Hindus believe that humans are reborn as per their karma and hence perform death rituals so that the departed soul can rest in peace. We will also observe Dashaswamedh Ghat to the end where one can see life and death together. Overnight in Varanasi.

Fly back to Delhi

After delicious breakfast, we will plan for an early start of our private tour just before dawn. We will take you to the Ganges river to meet your boat and boatman. Traveling in the east facing direction at sunrise provides magical orange and honey-hued views. As we slowly pass them, we can observe an amazing variety of activities near the stone steps knows as Ghats. There are almost a hundred of them. Overnight in Delhi.

In the afternoon we will take a direct flight from Varanasi to Delhi.
