The best time to take this trip is from September to April. Although spring and autumn are Nepal's popular tourist seasons, a helicopter day trip in the winter guarantees equally clear views that will have you mesmerized. However, being the monsoon season the months of June, July and August are not recommended.

My partner and I have always been planning to visit Everest Base Camp, but then I got sick, and we had to postpone the plan. I wasn€™t sure if that plan of ours would ever come into play, but my partner found an alternative. He booked a helicopter ride to the base camp for us and customized our trip with sightseeing in and around Nepal. The trip was entirely managed while taking my disease into account. Our trip planner was flexible to make any changes as per our needs. She made us feel as if we were her own. Thank you Himalayan Glacier for making this trip a memorable one.Show more
Helicopter ride to Everest Base Camp is worthwhile. We boarded the chopper from Kathmandu and then headed to Lukla and then to Kala Patthar where we landed for 5 minutes only. The short time is to prevent us from altitude sickness. We marveled at the majestic mountains from there and then flew to Synboche where we had our breakfast. We then returned to Lukla and then back to Kathmandu. The entire trip was marvelous as we were rewarded with spectacular views.Show more
I definitely prefer Heli ride to Everest Base Camp than trekking all the way there. The heli ride saves you a lot of time and money as well. The view from the chopper is breathtaking, which left me speechless. One must make this heli trip once in their lifetime even though they already been to the Everest Base Camp.Show more
