Nurbu Sherpa

Working with Himalayan Glacier was an exceptional experience! I will absolutely be joining them again for my next trek. I originally was unsure as to which of the trips offered I wanted to take, so I reached out to them with some questions. They went above and beyond and actually made me a custom itinerary combining all of the stops I was interested in, and gave me a discount on it. Fantastic experience with their office, and communication was excellent. The trek itself was an unforgettable experience. I ended up doing Everest Base Camp, Gokyo lakes, and a Lobuche Peak climb. Nurbu Sherpa was an excellent guide and adapted to my pace and requests perfectly. We ended up doing a sunset trek to Kala Patthar which was a highlight with beautiful golden hour light over the Everest Range and Khumbu valley. The Lobuche climb was incredible as well. They always use 2 Sherpas for climbs to ensure safety, which was very nice. I’m a more experienced mountaineer, so they adapted to my skills very quickly, allowing me some more independence to set my ascender and rappels, but still always double checking and assuring my safety. Overall, I cannot recommend this company enough. Everyone I dealt with was incredibly professional and helpful, and Nurbu Sherpa and the others I met throughout were all amazing. I will be coming back at some point and I’m very much looking forward to trekking with them again.

All technical arrangement were done properly - The rented climbing gear/boots was at very good qyality - The Sherpa guide was very knowledgable, and was basically a charming character - The response from the office (before and during the trip) was always quick and professional
