New trekking route to reach Sisne Mountain under construction

RUKUM, June 1: Another trekking route to reach Sisne Mountain in Rukum district is under construction. The 15-kilometer route is being constructed at Pipal VDC in the district.

The construction works of the route have been taken ahead determining the Melgaire Martyr Park in Pipal-7 as zero point, said Chairman of the Melgaire Tourism Development and Environment Conservation Centre, Dhan Bahadur Khatri.

A target has been set to construct the 8.5-kilometer route to Jaldhara of Pipal-8 within the current fiscal year. Different historical places including the longest canal and Saikumari Temple, among others, lie at the under construction route.

The route is being constructed at a cost of Rs 1.226 million. The Tourism Office, Bhairahawa, under the Ministry of Culture and Civil Aviation, and Centre provided one million rupees and Rs 226,760 respectively for the same, said Centre Secretary, Maisar Budha Chhetri.

Domestic and foreign tourists are now happy with the construction of the trekking route.
