Trip Name: Langtang Circuit Trek
Duration: 16 Days
Sarah Blackwell from Australia & Victoria Liechti from England booked their trip Langtang Circuit Trekwith Himalayan Glacier Trekking via our website. Sarah Blackwell & Victoria Liechti joined Kathmandu and started their trek to Langtang Region.

Our trip with Himalayan Glacier was outstanding from the very start. The personal touches, especially the very warm welcome to Nepal were sincerely appreciated. The trek itself was challenging without being overly exhausting. Most days we walked for about 5 hours with long lunches at scenic locations. This is a great trek because you pass through such a diverse range of terrain… along rivers and ridges, through forests of fury trees with fury finger tips, pine covered hillsides, terraced farms and the back gardens of villages. We were very fortunate with the weather which meant the high passes were reached without any drama. Being food lovers, we were pleasantly surprised at the quality of food and generous portions offered at all of the tea houses. At night we relaxed by the fire place with (yet another!) cup of Nepali tea. Our guide Dendi and porter Kumar were fabulous company and their kindness extended well beyond their duty of care. At the end of it all we had the luxury of Hotel Shanker which just blew our minds!

Having just returned from trekking in the Langtang and Helambu regions I can 100% say that I have had a wonderful first experience of Nepal.
The service provided by Himalayan Glaciers Trekking (P) Ltd. has been superb from the minute I arrived in Kathmandu and the assistance from the extremely helpful and friendly staff has been greatly appreciated, from the welcome meal to the goodbye meal.
Unexpectedly, a Christmas cake was presented on Christmas day which was a lovely touch as well!!!
The guide and porter who accompanied us on the 14 days trekking were excellent company. They pointed out items of interest and explained the Nepali history and traditions and answered our many questions.
The scenery itself was fabulous!!! Starting in the Langtang region we walked through forests and woods, alongside rivers and past lakes. The trees and landscape were varied throughout the 14 days and we even had a little bit of snow which was good fun too!!!
The days were well planned to allow for acclimatization for the higher altitudes and were a nice mixture of challenging days and more relaxing days. The day we climbed from 3800m to 4900m was really tough!!
The accommodation and food provided along the way were pleasant and sufficient, with more blankets and rice available all the time. The occaissional chocolate bar was also a nice treat!
All in all, this has been a wonderful trip and I definitely hope to return in the future!!
