Trip Introduction

India - one of the countries in the world with the oldest civilizations and richest natural environment and warm climate. From the majestic Himalayas to the tropical forests of Western Ghats, perhaps India is the most diverse country in the world. In this tour, you will get a firsthand experience of many facades of India for example, on the one hand - a booming economy, latest technology, trendy cars and night life, on the other hand, just exit the main road and you will find yourselves in a village away from the modern hullabaloo with their own Middle Age slow and serene life.

Our tour includes historical and cultural journey into the heartlands of India. The tour begins from Delhi - the capital of India. Delhi has many historic monuments, forts, and mosques. Enjoy the tall minarets, palaces, majestic temples and forts that have been delights of travelers since the earliest times. Similarly, we also visit Agra of the Taj Mahal fame. We further discover the cultural and geographical wonders of north western India passing by the ancient cities of Jaipur, Puskar, Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur and Udaipur.

Day to Day Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival Delhi
After your arrival in Delhi airport, our local guide will pickup you up and transfer to your hotel. Relax in the rest hours of this day and also visit the traditional bazaars as well as historic and monumental sites in Delhi.  Overnight at Delhi hotel.
Day 02: Drive Delhi to Agra: 210 km/4.5 hrs
After breakfast, we make a historic sightseeing tour of Delhi. Visit to the majestic Red Fort or Lal Kila, the beautiful marvels covered in red sandstone. Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in India that was built by Emperor Shah Jahan of the Taj Mahal fame. Rajghat - a memorial of Mahatama Gandhi. After exploring the Old Delhi monuments, we visit Rashtrapati Bhawan (Presidential Palace), the India Gate - a memorable monument built in the honor of Indian soldiers, and Qutub Minar, one of the tallest towers in the world. After taking our Lunch, we drive further to Agra.  Overnight at Agra Hotel.
Day 03: Drive Agra to Jaipur: 240 km/ 5 hrs
We start Agra Sightseeing tour after morning breakfast. Visit the Taj Mahal, a finest amalgam of love and architecture - one of the wonders of the world. We also visit Agra Fort, a large fortified strategic point of Mughal Empire. Then we further drive to Jaipur. En route, we visit Mughal Dynasty's Fatehpur Sikri with magnificent red sandstone building, built by the Moghal Emperor Akbar to commemorate Saint Salim Chisti, who blessed Akbar with three sons. Overnight at Jaipur Hotel.
Day 04: Jaipur Sightseeing
After morning breakfast, we make an excursion to the 16th century Amber fort. Also enjoy elephant ride at Amber Fort. The fort was built by Akbar's Rajput Commander, Raja Man Singh. Visit and shop at textile industry. Other attractions of Jaipur are the City Palace of Jaipur, Hawa Mahal or Wind Palace and Jantar Mantar or Observatory which was built by Raja Jai Singh. Also visit Laxmi Narayan Temple. Overnight at Jaipur Hotel.
Day 05: Jaipur to Puskar:146 Km/ 4 hrs
Moring drive to Puskar. Check in to Hotel. After taking our Lunch, we make a sightseeing tour of Puskar. Visit the Lord Brahma Temple which is enclosed by Pushkar Lake. Hindu pilgrims and devotees take a spiritual dip in the holy water of the Pushkar Lake. Overnight at Puskar Hotel.
Day 06: Puskar to Bikaner: 248 Km/ 5.5 hrs
After breakfast, we drive to Bikaner. After lunch, we visit the 16 the century Junagarh Fort built by Raja Rai Singh.  This magnificent marble fort made from red sandstone has extensive wall with 37 bastions and two entrances. Another attraction is the 19 the century Lallgarh Palace, built by the British engineer Samual Swinton Jacob and commissioned by Maharaja Ganga Singh of Bikaner.  Overnight at Bikaner Hotel.
Day 07: Bikaner to Jaisalmer: 330 km/ 6 hrs
Today, we take a slightly longer driver to Jaisalmer after breakfast. On arrival at Jaisalmer, check into Hotel. Stroll around the Hotel in the evening. Overnight at Jaisalmer Hotel.
Day 08: Jaisalmer Sightseeing
Full day sightseeing in Jaisalmer. Visit the 12th century Jaisalmer Fort built by the Rajput ruler Jaisala. Visit the group of Jain Temples inside the Fort built between 12th to 15th century. The temples contain the beautiful images of the warriors and the gods. Simlarly, Patwon Ki Haveli is one of the largest and most elaborate houses in Jaisalmer. After lunch, we take rest in hotel. In the afternoon, drive 40 km to Kuri where we enjoy the camel ride and view the beautiful sun set in sand dunes. Return to the hotel in the evening. Overnight at Jaisalmer Hotel.
Day 09: Jaisalmer to Jodhpur: 310 Km/ 6 hrs
Today, we drive to drive to Jodhpur after taking morning breakfast. Check into the Hotel. Stroll around the Hotel in the evening.  Overnight at Jodhpur Hotel.
Day 10: Jodhpur Sightseeing
We make a full day sightseeing o Jodhpur today. Visit Mehrangarh Fort. Jaswant Thada is a memorial built in white marble in the honor of Jaswant Singh. We also visit Umaid Bhawan, a majestic Palace, but now functioning as a heritage hotel and museum. Other places of interest are Clock Tower, Sadar Market, and Jhanki Mahal. The colourful Sardar Market offers wide range of handicrafts giving immense shopping pleasure to the locals. The Jhanki Mahal, from where the royal ladies watched the official proceedings, in the courtyard, today houses a rich collection of the royal cradles. The cradles are decorated with gilt mirrors and figures of fairies, elephant and birds.  Overnight at Jodhpur Hotel.
Day 11: Jodhpur to Udaipur: 266 Km/5.5 hrs
We take our breakfast and head for our next destination of Udaipur.  Overnight at Udaipur Hotel.
Day 12: Udaipur to Delhi
In the morning, we make a sightseeing tour of Udaipur. Visit the 16 century City Palace. The major attractions inside the Palace are Durbar Hall, Palace Museum, Jagdish Temple, and Crystal Gallery. You may also find it interesting to visit Saheli ki Bari meaning Friends' Garden, a small decorated garden, created in honor of Royal Ladies for entertaining purpose. In the evening, transfer to Airport for the Delhi flight. After arrival in Delhi, transfer to the hotel. Overnight at Delhi Hotel.
Day 13: Farewell Friend
Your North India Cultural Tour concludes today. We hope you enjoyed the tour with us. A representative from Himalayan Glacier Trekking will transfer you to the airport for your onward journey.

Your safety is of paramount concern while traveling with Himalayan Glacier. Please note that your leader has the authority to amend or cancel any part of the itinerary if it is deemed necessary due to safety concerns. Every effort will be made to keep to the above itinerary; however, since this adventure entails travelling in remote mountainous regions, we cannot guarantee that we will not deviate from it. Weather conditions, health condition of a group member, unexpected natural disasters, etc., can all contribute to changes in the itinerary. The leader will try to ensure that the trip runs according to plan, but please be prepared to be flexible if required.

Travel Insurance

It is a condition upon joining any of Himalayan Glacier's trips that all clients be insured for comprehensive expenses that might incur due to medical issues or accidents (this includes air ambulance, helicopter rescue, and treatment costs). Please note that we don't arrange or sell insurance.


We use 4 star hotels in India. We use The Royal Plaza or Hotel Maple or similar in New Delhi; Royal Orchid or Hotel Om Tower or similar in Jaipur and Hotel Howard Park Plaza or The Retreat or similar in Agra; Hotel Pushkar Bagh or similar in Pushkar; Hotel Gaj Kesari or similar in Bikaner; Hotel Rang Mahal or similar in Jaisalmer; Maple Hotel or Hotel Royal Jaisalmer or similar in Jodhpur and Combay Spa & Resort or Ramada or similar in Udaipur Since the tour is designed on twin sharing basis, you share room with your fellow traveler but in case you prefer single rooms we charge USD 650 as single supplement.

Visa & Entry Procedure

All visitors need a visa for India, except citizens of neighboring countries Nepal and Bhutan. Indian visa must be obtained from the Indian Embassy in your home country before traveling to India.
