Once you make it to the Base Camp, you are suddenly filled with a deep respect for the climbers who prove human determination and hardiness by making it to the mountain top.
There are two routes to Everest Base Camp trek: one that begins from Lukla and another that begins from Jiri. This Jiri to Everest base camp trekking itinerary has been designed in consultation with professional mountaineers and guides ensuring adequate time for proper acclimatization. While on the trek, we also pass through the alpine forests, glacial rivers, and enjoy the warm hospitality of ethnic people. Visit the Buddhist monasteries with prayer flags, the Sherpa and other ethnic villages with their simple yet rich mountain lifestyles. The views are gorgeous, and walking in the Himalayas proves to be quite an intense experience.

Day to Day Itinerary
Day 1:

What's Included
- All airport/hotel transfers
- Three nights 4-star hotel in Kathmandu ( Hotel Shanker or similar standard) with breakfast

The Trekking Group
For the Jiri to Everest Base Camp trek, there will be one leader, assistant leader (4 trekkers:1 assistant guide) and Sherpa porters for luggage carrying (2 trekkers:1 porter) This arrangement ensures that should any body in the group is sick, the trip can still go ahead as planned. We can run the Jiri to Everest Base Camp trek for group of any size, but generally we include maximum of twelve people, as we've found this to be the optimum size for a successful trip. However, if you'd like to make a group booking for more than twelve people together, we can arrange this too.

Accommodations
All accommodations for Jiri to Everest base camp trek are on twin sharing basis included in the trip cost and are chosen based on standard of hygiene, standard of service and food, location, etc. There are two styles of accommodations during our trekking. You will spend three nights in a 4-star hotel,
Hotel Shanker or similar category hotel in Kathmandu and during your trekking you will spend 17 nights in standard teahouse/lodge/hotel in which there are unheated rooms with wooden beds and foam mattresses. We provide attached rooms as much as possible, however teahouses/lodges of some places only have shared washing and toilet facilities.
If you are a solo traveler, you will share a room with someone else of same sex of your group. If you prefer a single room, you may indicate your preference and get single rooms on request by paying single supplement USD 350. There are several places that do not allow single accommodations in the Everest Region. On paying single supplement, you will get single room in Kathmandu but it is possible only up to Namche Bazzar during the trek. Above Namchhe Bazzar single accommodation is not always feasible. However, we will try our best to provide you with single rooms in all places if possible.

Best Season
Spring(March to May) and Autumn (mid Sept to mid Dec) and are the best seasons for the Jiri to Everest Base Camp Trek. The weather during day is sunny and warm with outstanding views but nights are cold and can fall to freezing in higher elevations. Winter (Dec, Jan, Feb) is also good for Jiri to Everest Base Camp Trek, only issue is cold (obviously). Trekking in summer/monsoon(June, July) will be affected by rain but summer trek could be a boon for a keen botanist. The trekking routes are crowded during spring and autumn but during monsoon and winter the routes are not packed and you could enjoy rather best of nature.
