Day to Day Itinerary

Day 01:  Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350m/4,457ft)
Upon our arrival in the Kathmandu airport we will be greeted by a representative from Himalayan Glacier. After completing our custom formalities, we pick up our luggage and look for representative with a Himalayan Glacier Trekking display board at the arrival gate. We will be then escorted to hotel. After couple of hours of rest, we start a guided tour to several of the most historical and spiritual attractions in Kathmandu. Some of these landmarks are considered World Heritage Sites; including the historic Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupati Nath, the famous Buddhist 'Monkey Temple' (Swayambhunath). Later in the evening Himalayan Glacier will organize a "Welcome Dinner" at an excellent traditional Nepalese Restaurant where we will enjoy a Nepalese cultural program along with a fine meal.
Day 02:  Kathmandu: sightseeing of Patan and Bhaktapur
Today, we pay our visit to the two ancient cities of Kathmandu valley. Patan is one of the ancient settlements in the Kathmandu Valley about 5km south-east of Kathmandu. The city has also been nicknamed as "The City of Fine Arts." The Durbar Square and the city thoroughfares are full of ancient places, temples and shrines, noted for their exquisite carvings. The Patan Durbar Square is also a UNESCO listed World Heritage Site. Patan Museum inside the Durbar Square specializes in bronze statues and religious objects. Bhaktapur, literally meaning "The Town of Devotees" is believed to have existed from the early 9th century AD. Bhaktapur Durbar Square was listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Monument Listed in 1979. Woodcarving is the main decoration of houses and temples of medieval Bhaktapur. The town is the living monument of medieval life, culture, and artworks.
Day 03:  Flight to Lhasa (3,650m/11,972ft)
At the dawn, we fly for the highest capital in the world Lhasa in Tibet. While in the flight, we relish the astonishing views of the Himalaya, including Everest, Makalu, Kanchenjunga and the Tibetan valleys. Upond our landing, we will be greeted at Gonggar Airport by our Tibetan guide. After immigration formalities, we take a 1.5-hour drive along 93 km road leading to Lhasa lying at an altitude of 3,650m/11,972ft. At this juncture, it is better to have rest and take it easy for the remainder of the day to minimise Lhasa's altitude sickness. In Lhasa, our accommodation would be in a good standard hotel near the city centre.
Day 04:  Sightseeing of Lhasa
Foremost, our today's tour begins with a visit to SERA MONASTERY. An experienced tour guide also working as an interpreter escorts us to this preserved monastery of white-washed walls and golden roofs. Equally adventurous and exciting tempo builds up while touring NORBULINGKA, the summer palace of the Dalai Lama. JOKHANG TEMPLE is another important sacred site which unravels more deep seated mysteries of Tibetan Buddhism. We further visit to BARKHOR MARKETS where we can view goods of Tibetan culture, custom and tradition. Eventually, the tour for the day concludes as y reweurn to the comforts of our hotel.

We further drive up-stream for a while before turning southwest through barren desert-like valleys. Along the way, we will have opportunity to visit the Yomdrok Lake, one of the Holy Lakes in Tibet. Xegar was isolated in 1855 by the Nepalese Gurkhas who cut off the dzong's water supply and settled in for a long siege.

After reaching Friendship Bridge over the Bhotekoshi River, we'll be leaving our Tibet side vehicles, and will walk for approximately 15 minutes towards Nepal. Then we drive further to the rafting camp located on top of a gorge, a great place to chill out after a long journey. The resort also offers various adventure activities such as bungy jumping, canyon swinging, canyoning, High Ropes, rafting, mountain biking and hiking.
