Our Nepal Village Home Stay Tour is the best package to experience the richness and diversity of Nepalese culture. During our 10-day tour we will be staying in beautiful villages with long-held traditions so you can see firsthand what the Nepalese way of life is really like. We begin our journey by visiting several UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur. During our trip we also visit Pokhara which is arguably the most beautiful city of Nepal and Tansen, a picturesque town in the lap of the Srinagar Hills. Next, we visit the ethnic mountain village of Sirubari which helps us gain a deeper Nepalese cultural experience.
After breakfast, we begin our sightseeing tour by visiting UNESCO World Heritage Sites within Kathmandu. Kathmandu Durbar Square showcases Nepalese art and architecture at its best. The architecture is typical of the Malla dynasty who ruled over Nepal from the 12th to the 18th centuries. Swayambhunath Temple is popular among the foreigners as the Monkey Temple owing to the large monkey population residing in the area. Pashupatinath Temple is situated on the banks of river Bagmati and is one of the principal temples of Lord Shiva. The Bauddhanath Stupa is one of the largest stupas in South Asia which is built on the ancient trade route to Tibet.
Listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Patan Durbar Square is rich in ancient arts and architecture. We also visit Bhakatpur, an irresistible city with an authentic local lifestyle preserved over centuries of isolation from the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu. While in the city square, we get to admire the Nyata-Pola Temple, the Golden Gate, water spouts and the 55 Window Palace which merge together to provide an ambiance of a magical outdoor theater to its visitors. We also immerse ourselves in the authentic delicacy of the locals in Bhaktapur. Overnight in Kapan.
After breakfast, we leave Kathmandu for Pokhara, also known as The Lake City owing to the large number of lakes it has. This will be a journey along river banks with wonderful views of hills and the rural lifestyle of the Nepalese. Upon our arrival in Pokhara, we are rewarded with magnificent views of the Himalayas including Dhaulagiri (8,167m/26,794ft), Manaslu (8,156m/26,759ft), Machhapuchhre (6,993m/22,943ft), the five peaks of Annapurna and others. We may also stroll in the streets of Pokhara and just enjoy being in one of the most beautiful cities of Nepal. Overnight in Pokhara.
Today we drive to Tansen which is a hill town that offers excellent views of the snow-covered Himalayan peaks. On clear days, it is possible to see the Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Manaslu, Gauri Shankar and others. Tansen is also famous for hand-woven Dhaka cloth, also used to make the Nepali national cap (Topi). Overnight in Tansen.
Sirubari is a rural village located in the Syangja district of Nepal. The hills of the village are known for providing panoramic views of Mt. Annapurna, Machhapuchhre, Manaslu, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri and Hiunchuli. The village has been developed as a home-stay village owing to its natural beauty and hospitable villagers. While staying here, we will be entertained with traditional dancing and singing which will help us understand the rural culture of the area. Overnight in Sirubari.
We spend a whole day touring the village of Sirubari. Upon closer look, we begin to notice that Sirubari is not just rich in natural beauty, but it’s also equally rich in art, culture and tradition. While here, we also get to enjoy the pristine natural springs that originate from the Himalayas. We also visit Thumro Juro, a viewpoint popular for its amazing views of the sunrise over the Himalayas. Overnight in Sirubari.
We tour the beautiful village of Sirubari and try and connect with the locals and how they spend their day. We then retrace our steps back to Pokhara where we check in to our hotel. We can also spend the evening in the lakeside area of Phewa lake to shop for souvenirs or just for enjoying the lake city’s general splendor. Overnight in Pokhara.
After breakfast, we say goodbye to the beautiful northern skyline of Pokhara and drive towards Kathmandu. After reaching Kathmandu, we take rest or do some souvenir shopping. To celebrate the successful completion of our trip, we will have a farewell dinner at The Ship Restaurant Bar & Lounge where we can pick our meal from their carefully crafted menu that offer a wide range of choices. Overnight in Kathmandu.
