Sagar Pandey President and Founder
Sagar Pandey has been the managing director of Nepal's leading mountaineering and trekking company, Himalayan Glacier Trekking, since the Company was established in 1992. Sagar has led successful treks and climbs in the mighty Himalayas over the past 18 years. He has led many treks to Everest Base Camp, Annapurna Circumference and Mount Kailash. His experience in planning successful climb to Island Peak, Mera Peak, Lobuche Peak, Baruntse, Cho Oyu, and Pumari worked as assets and were of great help in his successful climb to Mt. Everest in 2007.

Narayan Regmi Managing Director
I look after the finance and day-to-day management of HGT. I was born in 1964 in the beautiful Dhaulagiri region of Nepal. I had an amazing experience while trekking Annapurna, Everest, Langtang, and Upper Mustang of my dear country which aroused my interest in this sector and hence, ended up as a partner in HGT. An Economics Masters degree holder, I earlier worked for the Nepal government and currently am also involved in social works. I enjoy travelling and have been to the South Asian region, Japan, U.K and U.S.A. I can speak fluent Japanese, English and Nepali of course! -
Naba Raj Amgai Executive Director
Naba Raj Amgai was born in Gorkha of midwestern Nepal mountains, the famous region of the Manaslu Trek. Naba handles the Operations Department of HGT for trek, tour, and climbing in Nepal, Bhutan, India, and Tibet. More than ten years experience of working as a trek, tour and mountaineering leader has made Naba familiar with most of the trek, tour and climbing regions in this part of the world. Naba also has an extensive experience and knowledge in conducting trek and peak climbing programs in the Himalayan regions, such as the classical treks in Nepal like Everest, Annapurna, Langtang, Mustang, Manalsu, Kanchenjungha, Dhaulagiri, among others.

Tony Monaco Director of Operations
Tony is the Director of Operations for Himalayan Glacier Trekking LLC located in Charlotte, North Carolina. He grew up in Glenwood Springs, Colorado and discovered his passion for the mountains at a young age. During his college years, he enjoyed working on a ranch in Old Snowmass, always ready to explore his Rocky Mountain backyard. He continues his travels, taking opportunities to experience much of what the outdoors has to offer.

Lina Patel Director of Operations, North America
Lina Patel was born and raised in Gujarat, India and migrated to the United States with her family. She currently resides in Cincinnati, Ohio. Growing up, Lina always had a passion for the mountains, particularly the Himalayas. Her experience in mountaineering comes from past 13 years of hiking through out USA. Over the past several years, Lina has traveled through Nepal, trekking to the base camp of Mt. Everest, and climbing through the Khumbu valley. Lina has also successfully lead a group of travelers to Mount Kailash - Lake Mansarovar Yatra in Tibet.

Denis Lipatov Director of Operations, Eastern Tibet & Sikkim
Born in Russia in 1976 in the family of geologists. Have got mathematical education in Saint-Petersburg in "Saint-Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation". From the childhood participated in several geological and archaeological expeditions. Was engaged in mountaineering. Study Tibetan Buddhism from 1999.
First time I came to Nepal in 2006 and have fallen in love with this country. Initially I joined «HGT» as a manager for operations with Russian clients in 2009. Today I am a partner in HGT, and handle the operations with Sikkim and Eastern Tibet. Interested in climbing, photos and Asian culture. -
Raj Kumar Maharjan Web Developer

Born in 1985 and a resident of Kathmandu, he is the back bone of all our online operations. It's his job to keep HGT's websites updated and in proper working order. Whenever any of our staff face any kind of computer related problem, he is there to help them out with a smile always on his face! I am from Solukhumbu region of Nepal and was born there in 1974. I have been in this profession since 1999 and enjoy every facet of it. Gadul has been working in tourism industry for over ten years now. Born in the beautiful Sagarmatha region in 1978, he has been attached to the mountains since his childhood. He has been on expeditions to various peaks of Nepal and also been on numerous trips to most of the famous trekking zones here. Born in Bungkot in Gorkha district in 1983, Bimal has completed his school level studies and has been working as a trek guide for more than ten years now. He has been a part of HGT since 2002. Aasbir comes from the Dhading district of Nepal. Born in 1974, he has been working as trek leader since 1996 and has been to treks to almost all the parts of Nepal. Lila Bahadur Karki Cook

Lila is a trained and experienced cook. Born and brought up in the Dolakha district of Nepal, he has always been close to the mountains and nature. This inspired him to join the tourism industry. He has been a part of HGT since 2005 and has travelled across Nepal with several of our groups, preparing delicious meals for them. He cooks Nepali, Chinese, Continental and Indian dishes very well. -
Pasang Lakpa Sherpa Trekking Guide/Cook

Pasang started out as a cook in this line of work and later began working as a trekking guide. He acquired training in both fields and has a working experience of more than 10 years. He has been with HGT since 2011. His experience includes both trekking and mountaineering regions of Nepal and he is also familiar with local cultures and environments. Fluent in English, Hindi, Nepali and Tibetan, he can also speak French.

Dipendra Pandey(Kapil) Tour Leader - Nepal

Dipendra, born in 1982, is from Ashrang in the Gorkha district of Nepal. He is better known as Kapil. He has been working as a tour leader since 1997 and has travelled extensively throughout all the seventy five districts that Nepal comprises of. He has in depth knowledge of every nook and corner of his dear country. He is familiar with almost all the interesting historic and cultural sites here.

Chenda Tour Leader - Bhutan
Chenda is from Paro and comes from families that have lived their life on high mountains herding livestock. He knows every nook and corner of the trails on mountains. This makes him one of the veteran trek leaders in Bhutan. Despite other treks, he has done 21 days Snowman trek which is billed as one of the most difficult treks in the world. He is also a good cultural guide. He has bachelor degree from Sherubtse College, the only degree college in Bhutan. He has vast knowledge on Bhutan history and culture, religion, iconography and flora and fauna and all aspects on Bhutan. Bring any topic; Chenda can give a lengthy talk. Most of the people best describe Mr. Chenda as gentle and knowledgeable guide. -
Kinga Tour Leader - Bhutan
After graduation, Kinga underwent guide training and he was certified by Bhutan government to guide both cultural and trekking groups visiting Bhutan. He has been guiding in Bhutan since 2004. Born in 1961 and brought up in the beautiful Salyantar, which falls in the Dhading district of Nepal, Prem has been in this profession for more than ten years now. Prem joined HGT in the year 2006 and since has looked after several of our tour guests. He is a fully trained leader and is an expert leader for Nepal, Bhutan and Tibet. He was in Russia during the '90s. He lived there for twelve years for study and work purpose. His stay there gave him first hand knowledge of the Russian language as well as the opportunity to interact with the people of Russia.
