A journey in the Khumbu

Everest Three Passes Trek

Even though the three passes were closed due to heavy snow, I was able to reroute my trek and journey on.  My sherpa guide, Min Magar, was very accomodating and flexible in making this happen.  I came to learn that Min had many years of experience to draw on and that reflected in his skills as a guide and his relationship to his client.

Happier Moment

Annapurna Sunrise Trek

Namaste to everyone there at Himalayan Glacier. Myself and Caitlin would like to let you know we have arrived home safely and couldn't be happier with how everything went with our trek. Our 2 man trekking team was great, Furba is a great tour guide and alot of fun and our young Sherpa impressed us the whole way with his strength, definitely wouldn't have been possible with out him.
Also thank you for taking myself and Caitlin out for my birthday and the gifts were very nice to, and we won't hesitate in recommending you guys to other travellers in the future. All the best and thanks again

INCREDIBLE!!!!

Everest Base Camp Short Trek

I just got home from 21 days in Nepal and Bhutan with Himalayan Glacier... and it was the trip of a lifetime!!

I started my trip with the 14 day EBC trek (rapid)... and it was nothing short of INCREDIBLE!!!! My guide (Rishi) and assistant guide (Subass) were amazing (seriously... Rishi is AWESOME!!!). Not only were they extremelly knowledgable about the area and history, but they were there for us 24 hours a day to help us out with anything we needed... Rishi even had eye drops in his first aid kit when I got sunscreen in my eyes!!!

After EBC I spent just over a week travelling to Chitwan, Pokhara and then in Bhutan... and once again, everything was organized flawlessly... from my awesome private driver through Nepal (Luxman!!!) to a flexible guide in Pokkhara who re-organized my sightseeing to avoid the heat of the day (thanks Babu!) to my FANTASTIC guide who let me see all I could in Bhutan in three days (Nima is the best!!)... I would happily recommend HG to future guests!

Experience of lifetime

Everest Base Camp Short Trek

I recently trekked to Everest Base Camp and Kala Pathar organised by Himalayan Glacier - an amazing experience start to finish.Leading up to arrival in Kathmandu, the staff kept me informed and communicated all the details professionally and timely manner. From the moment I was warmly received at Kathmandu airport by my guide Rishi Bhantana I knew I had made the right decision choosing Himalayan Glacier. His courteous and friendly gestures made the jet lag disappear at once.I found Rishi with wealth of knowledge on local traditions, awareness of the trek and conditions along the way.His leadership skills came so handyin managing fatigue levels and in keeping informed of the health, altitude and mental issues. His team guided magnificently to EBC and Kala Pathar and made the dream reality. Moreover, his attention to details was amazing. He even remembered my birthday and made that a celebration of trek completion.

Everest High Passes Trek

The trek was simply brilliant. My guide Man and porter Suman were great company and very experienced. The High passes are challenging and extremely rewarding. We experienced unseasonably high snowfall in the passes. My guide Man and Suman were clearly highly regarded by their colleagues as whenever we stopped over night at the tea houses they were continuously passing on advice and knowledge. I would unreservedly recommend both of them for any of the Himalayan Glacier treks. I would recommend the high passes trek to everyone seeking to get a more complete experience of this incredibly beautiful part of the world.

Trip of a lifetime

Annapurna Sanctuary Trek

I have not been good in taking six months to reply to your email. I just wanted to thank everyone for making this trip a trip to remember and a trip of a lifetime. From the beginning, I was impressed by the professionalism and excellent service displayed by everyone on your team, without exception. The trek itself was a great experience, and it was made even more so by Basu and his team of guides and porters. Basu is an excellent trek leader, and his ability to adapt and make allowances for the needs of the entire group was evident from Day One. He and his team were always looking out for us and making sure that everyone was taken care of. The trek left me with an incredibly positive of the people of Nepal and the country. I will be back for another trek and can only wish that it is with the same group of people who took me on my first trek in the Himalayas.

Great Trek

Langtang Valley Trek

We had the best experience trekking up to Kyanjin Gompa, with excellent help from our wonderful guide Pradip and porter Prakas. I think we were extra lucky by being the only two people on this tour, as it became a private trip for us. Pradip was looking after our needs every step of the way, and always going beyond expectations in caring for us. The entire time we felt like a King & Queen! They even woke extra early for us to walk out for a sunrise view of the Himalayas near Kyanjin Ri and brought extra snacks along for us.

My very first trek

Annapurna Circuit Trek

For me it was my very first trek and I enjoyed it much more than I had ever expected it to be.The beautiful landscapes, the kindness of the Nepali people and the trails were fantastic. The first week, trekking from Syange to Thorung Pedi, I think is the most beautiful part of the trip.I especially enjoyed the landscape because it is so rough out there. And then off course, walking across the Thorung La Pass was very memorable, because it took us eight days to get there. The Himalay Glacier Team did a very good job.Everything was taken care of and they arranged a guide and porter that really made the trip very nice.A trip like this is quite a challenge because of the steepness and the height and therefore you should be well prepared physically to be able to really enjoy it.

Annapurna Circuit Trek

Annapurna Circuit Trek

I did the Annapurna Circuit trek with Himalayan Glacier Trekking staff‐Suresh and Ram in late 2012‐early 2013. As a female solo trekker, I was a bit worried about personal safety originally. With back and forth emails with the supporting staff‐Indira from the Himalayan Glacier, I could feel their reliability and so decided to join the Annapurna trek. I have enjoyed the time for the 21‐day trip, spending time with Suresh and Ram as well as some time just day‐dreaming on my own. 16‐day trek  just passed so fast and I am now safely back to my home town with a piece of unique memory.

Climbing mera peak

Mera Peak Climbing

Namaste!

Many thanks for your excellent arrangement for our trekking and climbing Mera Peak in March 2008. It was our second experience with Himalayan Glaciers and we were truely satisfied with your service. Your company and staffs were always ready to listen to and meet the client's needs.

The trekking and climbing was perfectly organized to ensure the climber's safety as well as the successul summit climbing.

We were impressed by your climbing sherpa's high standards in his experise and leadership. We were also satisfied with other staffs: cooks provided us with tasty food and the porters were always smiling and helpful. Although a week has barely passed since we returned home, we already miss Himalyas and people there.
