The trek to Gokyo offers an alternative to traditional treks headed towards the Everest Base Camp. Best Season
Autumn (Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec) & Spring (Feb, March, April & May) are the best seasons for Trekking to Gokyo Lake and Jan is consider as a good trekking month. The weather is sunny and warm, although the nights are cold and temperatures can fall to freezing. Weather can change rapidly and be unpredictable. Please note that when climbing to Gokyo Ri, you will be moving from warmer climates at low levels to conditions of well below freezing. Be prepared for all eventualities! June, July & August are okay and trekking can be done but not so clear visibility because of raining.
