Paro to Phuentsholing

Bhutan is a unique country both culturally and environmentally. Perched high in the Himalayas, it is the world’s last remaining the Buddhist Kingdom. Besides the stunning natural scenery, the enduring image of the country for most visitors is the strong sense of culture and tradition that binds the kingdom and clearly distinguishes it from its larger neighbors. Due to its pristine environment and harmonious society, the tiny Kingdom of Bhutan has been called “The Last Shangri-La.”

This short trip from Paro to Phuentsholing offers one of the greatest chances to experience the Bhutanese lifestyle and varied landscape in its entire splendor. Your tour begins from the beautiful Paro city where you visit Rinpung Dzong (fortress), Kichu Lhakhang temple, and Drugyal Dzong followed by a hike to the incredible Tiger’s Nest Monastery. Next up is Thimpu, the capital city of Bhutan where you get a chance to witness the antique grandeur and monuments like the King’s Memorial Chorten, nunnery temple, mini zoo, folk heritage museum including the magnificent Tashichho Dzong.
