Island Peak Top

Tony & Si

May I offer our sincere thanks to you, Gian, Bir and all the rest of the team at Himalayan Glacier for making our Island Peak expedition the trip of a lifetime! We were extremely impressed with the operation. The staff were highly experienced, professional, honest and friendly and we would not hesitate to recommend you to others.

Whilst we were not a particularly experienced team, we had full confidence in the expertise of Bir and Gian, who got all of us successfully to the summit – an experience none of us will ever forget.

I would also like to thank all of the porters and cooks and assistant guides for all their hard work, and constantly smiling faces.

A special thanks goes to Gian who accompanied us throughout the trip – from seeing us through the mayhem of Kathmandu airport, through sorting out our climbing equipment to ensuring that we were always well fed! He is an asset to the company.

And finally thanks to you and the team in the office. We were especially impressed with the communications before we even landed in Nepal, and for all your help in quickly responding to our many, many queries, on every subject from tipping porters to medical matters. This really was a great help, and it was great celebrating with you before and after the trip! It was also a nice surprise to meet the owners of the company when back in Kathmandu – great to see them so interested in finding out first hand what our experiences were.

So well done! – you did a fantastic job, at a very reasonable price. You will continue to be our first choice for any trekking and mountaineering it your part of the world and we recommend your company without reservation.

I am delighted to attach some of the photos from the trip. Please feel free to use these and this letter in your publicity. I also confirm that I would be happy to act as a reference. I will also write to Lonely Planet as you most certainly deserve to be mentioned!
