From USA to Everest Base Camp
November 26, 2009
My friend, Kim, and I traveled to Nepal in October 2009 to venture on an experience of a lifetime to Everest Base Camp. Kim found the Himalayan Glacier Trekking website online and we were both impressed with the competitive prices, years of experience and professionalism they offered. Being two single girls arriving at the Katmandu airport we were instantly grateful to find our guide, KP, waiting patiently for our arrival. From that moment on we were cared for by the most generous and kind people we came across on our six weeks of travel, and perhaps in our lifetime. Our well being and every need was meet along the way. KP (our leader ), Dil (our porter) and Naba (our office manager extraordinaire) felt like extended family by the end of our amazing adventure. Not a day goes by that we don’t think about the great experience we had while we were there. There are no words to describe the beauty and majesticness that the mountains in Nepal hold. We are beyond grateful to Himalayan Glacier Trekking for their hospitality and great service and would highly recommend them to everyone and anyone!

Love your pictures!
It is reassuring to know that with the right guides even two single females may travel abroad without worry and trek Everest. It is the one thing that has held me back, being a single female in a foreign culture, but after reading your blog then it has inspired me into looking into it further.
Thanks!
