Gokyo and Everest Base Camp trek was spectacular

Megan and I thoroughly enjoyed the Gokyo Lake and Everest Base Camp trek. You and the staff at Himalayan Glacier Trekking were flawless in your treatment of us as guests to your country. Yes, the Gokyo Lake and Everest Base Camp trek was spectacular. It exceeded our expectations. As a 67-year-old male with trepidation, fortunately I was able to successfully navigate the trails and altitude. Homnath the guide, and “Luck” the porter, were not only good company, but were very personable, safety conscious, and knowledgeable of the trails, environment and Sherpa culture.

In Kathmandu, the Shanker Hotel was spectacular, and the Hotel Encounter was more than satisfactory. We appreciated the complimentary tour of Kathmandu. Also, it was a surprise for us and the others on the tour to learn that at most of the tour stops, there was a mandated entrance fee only for foreign tourists–no cost for the local citizens.

We would highly recommend Himalayan Glacier Trekking for anyone seeking a cost effective and professional trekking company in Nepal or surrounding countries. We will be advertising your company to various hiking/trekking groups in our area. In the next few days, we will be emailing you some of the photos we took on the trek.
