Nepal is increasingly becoming a travel, trek and meeting hub in the South Asia region. After ending of the 10 years Civil War, Nepal has become even more popular travel destination. A recent Global Peace Index says that Nepal is the second most peaceful country in the South Asia. The Australia and US-based Institute of Economic and Peace’s ranking shows that when it comes to peace, Nepal is far more ahead than its neighbors like India, Sri-Lanka, Bangladesh and Pakistan. Nepal is even ahead of her northern neighbor China.
That’s one of the reasons why Nepal received a record number of tourists last year. Not only the tourist stay but the average number of days spent by tourists has also increased to a 7-year high in 2011. The trekking route in the Everest, Annapurna, and Langtang region also received increased number of tourist arrivals. The number of mountaineers and the number of their stay also rose in that year.
Not only that, Nepal is also increasingly becoming a meeting hub for regional and international organizations. Various international organizations and companies are finding Nepal a perfect place for conducting their seminars and meetings owing to Nepal’s scenic beauty, pleasant climate, and hospitable people.
Similarly, Nepal also hosted a regional level film festival week recently. Documentary films on environment protection were shown in the festival. The participants were from Nepal, India, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and the Philippines.
Nepal is also increasing becoming a regional adventure sports center. Besides mountaineering and trekking, you will find opportunity for many adventure activities here: bungee jumping, mountain biking, kayaking, paragliding, rafting, etc. Nepal is also seeing more adventure related infrastructure in its tourism industry. The recent one is the plan of creating an international standard rafting center at Bhotekoshi.
Recently, another adventure sports was introduced in Nepal’s tourist capital of Pokhara: Zipflyer. A popular adventure sport in Europe, Nepal’s Zipflyer is South Asia’s first Zipflyer adventure. This adventure sport takes you on ropes from Pokhara’s Sarankot Hill to Yamdi. You cross and pass by various mountains, jungles, lakes, and rivers. Pokhara’s Zip Line is supposed to be one of world’s fastest and longest Zip–lines.

“We came to Himalayan Glacier with the idea that we couldn’t do a lot of walking because we weren’t fit and hadn’t have lots of exercise lately. So we choosed Poonhill to be our destination. At the start, we didn’t know that our legs strength can made it to Poonhill and back in 5 days, but we decided to try.
In these 5 days, we experienced many things. Many things that was once in a lifetime!!!! Everything we’ve seen and met was just wonderful. Breathtaking long walk mountains by mountains that we couldn’t imagine how could we did it, beautiful nature and stunning Himalayas view, nice people that we met along the way, everything was so great.
These couldn’t be happened without you “Himalayan Glacier”. Our guide and porters were so helpful and friendly. They made our first trekking experience turned into the most memorable trip we ever had.
Now, we have a look of the picture of your other trekking trips on your website and we think about to go back to have another nice trekking experience with you for sure. But we need more exercise!!!!!
Thank you for create such a nice trip for us.

Thank you very much for all that you did for us over December 2010 and January 2011 to organise our school’s second trip to Nepal. We appreciate the personal interest that you take in our group, and this personal touch is evident in all of the people who work for Himalayan Glacier Trekking. In particular we appreciate how flexible you are in meeting our special requests. We understand that our group undertakes a unique experience in terms of our timings but you have been unfailing in meeting our requests.
I have posted a review on Trip Advisor.
I must mention our trek leader Hom Nath in particular. He has a very good understanding of what we are trying to achieve in our immersion program, so not only is he a thorough professional in the way he acts as Trek leader, he is able to contribute to the whole experience and bring his story to our students as well.
We will be in contact with you shortly to begin arrangements for our 2011/12 trip.

The Annapurna Sanctuary trek was fantastic and I’m very satisfied with the services provided my Himalayan Glacier Trekking. The whole team was great! Sudarshan was a great guide and he was very professional. Vishnu as well as Dhon and Prakash our porters were always helpful and went out of their way to make sure that our experience on the trek was nothing less than amazing. They were attentive to even the smallest details to ensure that we had a great trek.
I would like to thank the whole team at Himalayan for their excellent customer service. From beginning to end, it was a trip that I will remember for a long time. I would recommend Himalayan to anyone who wishes to go to Nepal. Himalayan took care of all the details of the trek, as well as the pre and post-trip arrangements in Kathmandu and Pokhara and this made my experience worry-free and wonderful.

“It has been a wonderful experience with the company providing seamless integrated services ranging from transport to accomodation.
Our guide, Deu has also been most obliging with our requests and has also impressed me greatly with his in-depth knowledge about the mountain ranges.
It has been a great trip along with the companionship of our guide, Deu, our assistant guide, JV (Jang Bu), both our helpful porters, Pratab (Pardon me if i spell wrongl) and Dawa.
If you are looking for a getaway to trekking in the outdoor nature, the 21 days of Annapurna Circuit should be the ideal package for you.”

Thank you so much for all the effort and time you and the team at HGT have put into my trek and adventure. It was one of the best times of my life. It provided me with an insight into Nepali daily life, how different cultures live and just how fantastic Nepal is.

We had such a stunning holiday. Not one day passes without me thinking or dreaming about the trek.
I am very fit now and also shed quite a number of kilos. Barbara and I were very happy with our guide Suderson. His knowledge of the mountains, his caring manner, friendliness and wit are most commendable.
Also Keshav was an absolute star. Nothing was ever too much trouble. for the two young men! We had so many laughs together! We would highly recommend them to anyone. As a matter of fact, I have recommended your company to my friends from Canada. They are going to contact you shortly.
Thank you again for great trek and look forward to meeting you again.
