Annapurna Base Camp Trek

Traveling by myself around Nepal was an incredible experience, but the most fascinating adventure was the amazing trek to Ananpurna Base Camp. I contacted Himalayan Glacier Trekking Agency thanks to a friend who told me about their excellent service and professional trekking guides. As soon as I contacted Naba, the operations manager, I got a very good impression of his agency, serious and trustful. He gave me really valuable safety tips before starting my trek and chose an excellent guide for me, Pradip.

From the first to he last day I felt really safe trekking with my guide Pradip. He took care of me all the time, he was respectful, attentive and really responsible with his job. Everything was brilliant.I’m so glad I got to contact them. This trek to ABC has been one of the most beautiful experiences that I have ever had, that’s why I really want to thank Pradip and Naba who arranged everything so perfectly.

I recommend everybody who goes to Nepal to contact Himalayan Glacier Trekking Agency. They will organize an incredible trek like mine.

Regarding feedback for HGT, your Himalayan Glacier staff and you, Naba, bring together a special mix of being helpful, very knowledgeable and friendly! Your staff is very concerned about meeting your clients needs for a successful travel experience. My feedback is very positive. You offered services that were extremely helpful and you made sure that our trekking group was safe throughout the journey. For example, you contacted Prem our guide by phone regularly to see how everyone was doing. Trekking, as you know, is often challenging and difficult so we needed excellent guides who knew the trek and how to keep the trekkers spirits up while maintaining good health while we go over Thorong-La pass. HGT provided well trained staff to make sure we were safe at all times.

You helped me plan the trek and other side trips such as Chitwan National Park, Pohkara and the Everest Flight. All successful adventures. The cultural dinner you provided and the opportunity to meet different people in the HGT team was important and fun. The culture shock of visiting a new country was minimized. I learned quickly that I could trust your staff and the information you provided me while in Nepal.

An overview of the many good points about HGT services:
1. Being met at the airport and providing other ground transportation as needed
2. Meeting HGT staff and having questions answered when I first arrived in Nepal and throughout my visit
3. Bookings in good hotels that were safe and friendly was excellent
4. Providing highly trained trekking guides, Prem and Bairas
5. Experiencing cultural events through HGT
6. Knowing there were people at HGT I could call if I had a problem
7. Meeting the needs while maintaining safety of your HGT clients in my group was a priority
8. Providing equipment such as sleeping bags and down jackets, I loved the packing list you provided before leaving the USA
9. Trekking the Annapurna Circuit was a dream come true for me as well as seeing Mt Everest

My overall experience was excellent. Thank you and your staff for all you did to make my trip to Nepal an adventure I will always treasure. Stay in touch. I am already thinking about the Everest Base Camp, Bhutan and Tibet travel. Next time I will bring friends!

We would like to thank you for arranging our recent tour in Nepal. We had a wonderful time and found every one very helpful and professional. We especially commend you for finding such excellent guides, both Mr. Giri and Mr. Prem are professional and earnest to make our tour memorable one, drivers are responsible and good skills and porters are very helpful.  We would certainly recommend any one to contact you should they think of traveling to Nepal.

Annapurna Circuit trek in 10 days with Himalayan Glacier Trekking

From the pre-trip meeting to the drop-off at the airport, we could not have received better service. However, to describe what Himalayan Glacier did as service, while accurate, severely understates what our group was provided with on our 10-day trek around the Annapurna Circuit, and that continued through our last day in Kathmandu.  On the administrative side, it was clear that Narayan’s first priority was to ensure as smooth a trip as possible from beginning to end, which included providing us with transportation to the airport on our way out of the country, something we did not expect but was extremely thoughtful, convenient and save us a little extra time and money.

On the trek, our guide KP, assistant guide Pradib, porters Ram and Rajan, were engaged, friendly, witty and informative. At the end of the trip, we all felt a connection to each of them that will be renewed each time we look at our pictures.  We couldn’t have been happier with our experience. Thank you Himalayan Glacier!!!

We really do miss our time in Nepal. Thanks to you and your team we had a fantastic time and took home many fun memories.

British School Manila in Nepal / Annapurna Trek

On behalf of the teachers and students of the British School Manila, I would like to thank you and your team for an absolutely fabulous trip. Just the logistics of getting 46 students and 6 teachers from one place to another was a remarkable feat which was accomplished with great success, and then there was the accommodating and feeding on top of that.

Your guides were very professional and worked tirelessly each day to ensure that all of the students enjoyed their stay in Nepal and that the trek to the Annapurnas and Poon Hill went without a hitch.

On the way down one villager commented that our party, with a total of 80 people, including the guides and porters was the biggest group that he could remember seeing. Once again due to your excellent arrangements.

A big thank you to all at Himalayan Glacier for making this a wonderful and memorable trip for so many. I would recommend you without reservation and you will certainly be first on my list if I need someone to organise another trip to the Himalaya.

Annapurna and Everest Trek in Nepal

During January-March 2010, we used Himalayan Glacier Trekking for three treks, They are an outstanding company. Naba Raj Amgai, Director of Operations, Nepal, is a real treasure. His English is excellent. He is smart, charming and fun. And he’s very detail-oriented, which means that all of our treks went very smoothly. We had a problem with one flight cancellation due to weather, and that was handled quickly, professionally and smoothly by Naba and his staff. We were able to tailor our trips to our wishes and also keep the schedule flexible in case we wanted to add or subtract a day or two. Our guide, Raj, led all three of our treks, and he is exceptional. He took us to the Annapurna area (about 10 nights), the Everest region (about 11 nights), and the Kathmandu Valley (four nights). He works hard without seeming to and left nothing undone to make us feel comfortable and ensure we had good treks. We can’t recommend Himalayan Glacier Trekking highly enough!

Annapurna Trek & Himalayan Glacier in the New York Time

THE path is wide, the terrain easy, yet I keep losing my footing, tripping over stones and my own feet because I can’t watch the trail. My eyes refuse to leave the white mountain filling the sky before me, the 24,786-foot Himalayan peak Annapurna III. It dominates the horizon as surely as a sunset does, but with millenniums-old glaciers ringing its crest like a necklace of diamonds, it feels more dazzling than even the brightest setting sun.

Just over a third of the way through the legendary 150-mile Annapurna Circuit trek, circling the Annapurna massif in Nepal, I have finally reached a height where no smaller mountains obscure my sightlines to the peaks. Ahead, four days on, lies Thorong La, a daunting 17,769-foot pass, the high point of the circuit and start of the trail back down. But I’ve already reached euphoria. Annapurna III is too everything — tall, close, imposing, beautiful — to be true.
