1. Cho-la Pass is a summit pass located 5,420 meters above sea level in the Everest region. The high pass connects the village of Dzongla (4830 m) to the east and the village of Thagnak (4700 m) to the west. While embarking on Everest Base Camp Trek via Gokyo Lakes, you come across this high pass. Obviously the trek traverses through the landmarks of Everest region in the company of majestically soaring mountains, friendly Sherpas, colorful monasteries and prayer flags, the Namche Bazzar, the Sagarmatha National Park, and many more. Gokyo, a hidden valley with gorgeous blue lakes in the lap of Himalaya has its own reputation. Many trekkers yearn to visit the Gokyo valley as a side trip during their Everest Base Camp Trek and they feel their Everest trek incomplete if they happen to miss the trip to Gokyo Valley, Gokyo Peak, and the famous pass, Cho La. The entire area is blessed with abounding natural beauty of shimmering Lakes. The high pass is not itself difficult but it is steep and involves a glacier traverse. Upon reaching the apex of Cho-La Pass, the pyramidal Ama Dablam presides over a range of mountains on the south even as Cholatse soar on the west and Lobuche East and Baruntse rises sharply to your right.

2. Kongma La Pass is situated just above Dingboche and south west of Mt. Everest, the highest mountain of the world. Among the three high passes of the Everest region Kongma La Pass is one of the most picturesque spectacular areas. From Lukla you follow the classic Everest trekking trail crossing famous places Namche bazaar-the gateway of Everest region, Tengboche, Dingboche to Kongma La pass. You pass through the blooming rhododendron forest, river valleys, and villages enjoying the natural scenery, mountain views and culture of the people. Everest Base Camp Trek offers the fantastic view of the towering mountains of the Everest region like Mt. Everest the highest mountain of the world, Nuptse, Lhotse and many more. Furthermore, from the pass you can see the eye catching view of the Mt. Thamserku, Mt Amadablam, Mt. Kongtega and numerous peaks and glacial lakes in front of yours eye within few kilometers distance. In this trek you can get opportunity to enjoy the natural and cultural beauty of the Everest region. 3. Renjo La Pass on your Everest High Passes Trek offers outstanding views of the Everest region and offers an exciting experience. The main attractions of Everest trek include astonishing Gokyo Ri and a traverse of Renjo La Pass. The remote view of the Bhote Koshi River and the Gokyo valley is quite alluring. Down from the Gokyo Valley, you turn to Renjo La trail by Dudh Pokhari. After about 3 hours, you gain the Renjo La where a dazzling vista awaits. The Everest itself, Lhotse, Cholatse and Taboche can be seen shining in the sun. Views from Renjo La are much like that from Gokyo Ri with third Gokyo Lake and Gokyo Village beneath the gray smear of Ngozumpa Glacier. A traverse onto the Renjo La to the dramatic solitary Bhote Koshi valley put you on the historical trade route between Nepal and Tibet. The trek will be an exploration of unspoiled Himalayan scenery and enjoyment of Sherpa hospitality.

4. Thorong La Pass is the highest point on the Annapurna Circle Trek. The pass is high enough to cause Acute Mountain Sickness for trekkers who have not acclimatized to the altitude. While it is possible to cross Thorung La Pass from Manang to Muktinath in one day. Most tourists cross the pass from east to west (Manang to Muktinath and Ranipauwa), which is the easiest and safest direction. Before the pass, trekkers can spend the night either in Thorung Phedi (at 4420 m) or at Thorong High Camp (4800 m), meaning that they will have to climb a maximum of 1000 m and descend about 1,600 m. Crossing the Thorong La Pass will be a lifetime unforgettable experience. It is in the sense that the outstanding high Himalayan scenes are such tempting that your eyes love to watch more over the horizon than on your trail. Both the treks towards Thorong La Pass take you around the entire Annapurna massif. Just imagine the thrills of walking through world’s deepest Kali Gandaki Gorge, with Annapurna I rising to 8091m to the east and Dhaulagiri hovering at 8167m to the west! Annapurna Circuit Trek, one of the most popular classic treks in the world takes us within the world’s tenth highest mountain, the Annapurna. From a mere height of 800 meters to the high altitude of 5, 416 meters, you will pass through a diverse geographical and cultural variation with an amazing range of flora and fauna in between. In nutshell, Thorong La Pass is the highest point of the treks from where you can marvel at the fabulous Mustang peak and the snow-clad bulk of Mt. Dhaulagiri (8,167m). While descending, you will have a chance to visit the Hindu pilgrimage site – Muktinath (3,800m).
